The costume contest

I just won a gray haunted mansion suit. I had a costume that I thought was more creative than any of the others I've seen today, and definitely better than some of the stuff that has won inferno.

Not trying to sound like a sore winner here because I do appreciate the suit, but I've made it into the random number generator room three times only to lose connection. It's frustrating.

Oh well, on the bright side, I can save the credits I would have spent on the haunted mansion suit tomorrow.

I hate to admit it, I was a sore loser when I heard people telling me they
won inferno. <cough cough>

Mostly because I crashed without getting a costume judged, and I
crashed without getting a spin for a prize. I think I would have been
a better loser had I gotten to participate at all.

I had won earlier in the day--and I tried way too many times to get into the generator rooms and crashed way too many times--and I will be writing my letter today after work.

I tried three times and didn't get into the Prize machine. But I did get a candy cauldron for costume. I was Piglet. I had my skin pink, my hair as pink as it could go and up in the pony tails. I wore a darker pink shirt and lighter pink pants. For shoes I wore the cowboy shoes because they looked like hoves. lol

I dressed up as Davey Crockett after but decided not to do that again due to the fact it would be unfair. So I was off to the VMK Prize Machine which was a complete failure! LOL crashed each time I would enter.


Oh and the top hat for the grey suit was the same for the black suit.

Jellyrolls, your costume was the BEST!! You were in the same room as my son, PhantomofB. I was actually playing for him at that time so it was "me" talking with you, not him

I thought your costume extremely creative - you really should have won inferno, and so no, you don't sound like a sore winner at all to me. I am still shaking my head over this whole event (once again...) I am just glad my sons did not participate this time. I actually had 3 computer screens open, one for me and one for each of my sons. They did not know at the time that I was sending their characters into the costume judging all afternoon. I was hoping to surprise them with inferno in their inventory when they logged in today, but that didn't happen

So here is my story of this event:

I was in the the castel forecourt at 12 am and little earlier i think. but i tried different costume to win but no luck. At 12:45, while people stand in the forecourt waiting for the next person to come here and stand in a nice straight line and then someone message them to come and they said they had finish, and they said they had a chance through out the entire day. though still ten minutes left on vmk. Then another cl message babs. thogh it was my last chance, i didn't win! i was madame leota as my last costume of course. I did thank babs for her kind heart and comes to judge us at last minute, but i was think it was not fair for some people. I was out all day, having other plans and what not. They could be considerate having this a two day event then having this just one day, i know it is there time that they do these events on vmk. But think they get paid for being a staff on vmk? I think the try too hard at these event and they try to do more then there sever can hold. i know what kids do, they revolt if they don't win something or don't get something. i would say at so far every event they start a mob of people to go against the staff. I love the staff they are always kind and nice to me, but i just want to tell them think a bit harder before you carry out an event all the flaws, if some doesn't go right, take plan b action. i know now they are host to help them now, which was a good thing, but there have to be more than one host on vmk. why couldn't they run two rom of the generator. so at the end of this lost post, i want to say just think a bit harder at the flaws if they did this event, thinking worse case senario.


plus this just killed ten minutes, woot!

they were definitley giving away inferno for the best costume, one of my CL friends won a magic pin. So i guess he was just there at the right time huh??
too bad u guys had to go through all of that waiting though.

Yes, I remember seeing PhantomofB in the room. I stood next to him in his Here We Bought Her suit--he looked very cute.

I had been struggling with an idea for a costume, and then it just came to me. Goofy Topiary. I thought it was a lot more creative than most of the costumes I saw all day (there were lots of ice princess, space cowboys, Mickeys, etc.). I thought mine was Disney themed with a little extra.

I decided to let a couple of my mules each be in a room for judging just once. I originally had my mule BrentonAce as the Jolly Green Giant, but switched it to a Mickey topiary after someone dressed as a green vegetable came in. The Mickey topiary won a pumpkin.

I wound up sticking with the Jolly Green Giant for my other mule, and that is the prize that ended up winning me inferno (assuming that VMK_Flamingo does actually give it to me).

I feel badly that I was able to get judge so many times when others had no luck at all getting through. I will say that I spent pretty much the entire day going through lines and suffering many crashes to get through (I really wanted the inferno, and I think after hearing that costumes that were less creative than the Goofy topiary got inferno, I was determined to win it with a mule--but was only giving myself two opportunities to get judge with one each of my mules--if I had been judged and not won, I would have given up that mule. I saw judges a total of three times, and won prizes for each of my costumes).

And I know that some people will probably be upset that I won on my mules, but I will say that I do feel badly that others ran into problems. Believe me, it wasn't an easy task to win these prizes, and it took most of the day to do it. I have shared the wealth of my day with others, and have given some of the prizes away to those who did not have luck.

Congrats on finally winning that elusive inferno!!!! Woot! You deserved it!!

LOL, I was in that room with BrentonAce yesterday waiting to be judged (I was Mer he Pop pins, I think, or I may have been one of my sons again, lol!) Anyways, I saw the Mickey topiary and I was upset at BrentonAce thinking he/she stole the idea from Jellyrolls!! LOL! I had NO idea that they were one in the same!

Yes, I was Brenton Ace. I remember seeing the Mer He Pop pins costume yesterday. There were some other DISers around while I was in as my mules, and I tried to make myself known to some of them, but some of them just ignored me (even though they were talking to others).

I got judged late last night and won, but I don't know what I won yet. VMK_Zev (I think that's what his name was) tried 2 times to trade with me. Every time I clicked ok, no trade window would open. He did tell everyone in the room that I won. And said he would take down my title and award the prize later.

I was Fish out of Water from Chicken Little. I saw a sneak preview on Saturday, and it is a really cute movie, by the way. I wore an orange jacket and orange yoga pants, with the diver helmet and shoes.

Can't wait until I get off work to see what I won. I was really surprised. As soon as everyone saw that staff was in the room, they started saying what they were and moving all around. He didn't ask us anything or announce himself, so I just stayed in line, and my sig had my costume listed. I'm starting to think I won just because I didn't start begging for a prize. Also, it was different than the usual princess cowboy, space Mickey, Master Gracie, etc that they had seen all day.
