The cost to drink at Epcot

How long would it take to drink around the world? Do you just go in like a bar an order a beer or do you have to take a tour? Wouldnt mind doing this between the 7:00 and 9:00 extended hours!

Nope, no tour or anything. They have counters, in each pavillion, where they sell food as well, and you can just order a local beer or wine and be on your way.

Now, as for how long it takes, thats all up to you. You could do it in 30 minutes I suppose if you ran around the world, but a couple hours might work . . . .me? I take many hours . . . many, many hours

Also if you go around the holidays, we hit the "Cup 'O Cheer" stands that are positioned around the world showcase. Heck there was a stand before you really got near a country by the large store on the water where the showcase starts. (If that makes any sense) All I know is they had beer and Rosa Regale. So we didnt really go into many of the countries aside from Italy and Mexico, the rest came from the Cup O Cheer. (It became the joke of the trip as we spent 2 afternoons at the showcase, "I think you need a Cup 'O Cheer!" )

Too bad they wont be out for our October trip! We take 2 afternoons to "visit" the show case to avoid crawling down the side walk on our way out.

Are there "sampler" booths in the countries and how much is the beer there ?

I know there's samples of different foods but not sure about the beer.

Not to hijack this thread, but since all the boozies are already assembled...

I'm not a beer person & am still interested in drinking around the world (only I'll split it into 2 days as halfway around the world will already require asprin for me!)

Yes each booth pretty much has beer and/or wine for sale at their kiosk. Plus there are additional kiosks, more than just the 11 nations at WS. Tastings cost a few dollars, maybe 4-7 dollars depending on the drink

You can start in Mexico with the layered frozen Margarita, love it with the salt! That generally lasted me untill I got close enough to see Italy. I was going to branch out and try some of the terrific sounding drinks from France.

My husband and I have "Indulged Around the World Showcase" many times! It is such a great experience!! We always meet tons of great people, doing the same thing.

A few ideas:
1. Get a picture in each country (it helps slow-down the consumption, since the countries are only a couple of minutes apart) wearing or using something traditional for the country.

2. My husband made a lanyard once that we had signed by the server in each country - it is fun to look at afterwards; especially the Asian signatures. I keep promising to post pictures of the lanyard, and will do so when I return from our Road Trip (We are on the road right now, driving from Washington State to the border of California to pick up some cheap adult beverages for our home bar!) On the front, the wording said something like: "We are drinking around the World Showcase. If we seem disoriented, please direct us towards the Beach Club, where we are staying." The back had each country listed, along with a place for the server to sign.

3. Get a picture in each country holding the actual beer bottle. Since they can't let you take the bottles with you, we have found that simply asking to hold the bottle for the photo has never been denied.

4. Share a beer in each country. The experience is the same, but the need for aspirin the next day is ever so much less!

Since we have done this several times, I also have - by necessity - researched the Bathrooms Around the World Showcase. Here are some impressions (of the women's bathrooms!):

1. Morroco bathrooms are close to the walkway, and don't require a long walk.
2. Japan requires a longer walk, and very few stalls.
3. The US requires a walk to the outside back of the restaurant, but has lots of stalls.
4. Italy's only bathroom is in the restaurant.
5. Germany's bathrooms seem the most air-conditioned, and are close to the walkway. However, they ALWAYS seem to have a strong urine smell.
6. No bathrooms in the Outpost area.
7. China's bathrooms are next to the restaurant; there are only a few stalls.
8. Norway's bathrooms are relatively close to the walkway, have a huge number of stalls, and are really well air-conditioned.
9. Mexico's bathrooms are inside the pavillion, way in the back, in the restaurant. Because there are only a few stalls, there is almost always a line.
10. The UK also has many stalls that are convenient to the walkway.
11. France - not sure, because my conservative husband won't let me go into France!! However, when I am alone or with my daughter (and spend considerable time here) I have never needed to use the restroom, because this is where we start our excursion, ending in the UK...

If I'm not mistaken I think they only make those frozen layered margaritas outside at the cart.

THat's OK. I could buy one out there & bring it in with me, couldn't I? Would that be unfair to San Angel Inn if I brought my own drink. A girl can only drink so many margaritas, expecially with other countries to visit!
