I wasn't up for political sparring. then here comes an OS and craps all over it with, "Sure he was good lookin until he cheated on his wife." I was trying to be positive, I don't think I have ever started a thread against Obama or for McCain, but I thought this was pretty neutral...

The person doing the 'crapping' also has several quotes that are 1/2 truths and lies in their sig line. I wanted to debate them, (but not on that thread, of course)

I saw Geraldo yesterday. Pretty funny. I think it probably was the most "Instant Replayed" shot in Tivo history, (next to Janet Jackson's ta-ta)He's brave to be out there, though. I give him a lot of credit.

Mr. Man. Very timely post. This thread is so active, I wondered how long it would take me to hear that you are all right and BINGO! There you are!

We're glad that you are all right. Be safe. And no, I kept missing the Geraldo on the butt footage. His career has sunk pretty low that they have him out in the winds covering storms. Pretty sad actually.

On a lighter note, I just love listening to Shep Smith. He cracks me up with his comments during the broadcasts. He just says what the thinks... .

Ya know, we're not being nice to Mr Gibson - calling him 'condescending,' 'patronizing,' 'rude' -- tsk, tsk, tsk....he actually can be very open and approachable, like when he interviewed yet another candidate a couple of years ago. This candidate was also a virtual unknown - I guess Mr G. wanted to be easy on this one, though - his views on abortion or foreign policy, for instance, or maybe even [gasp] his lack of experience didn't really matter much since he's just running for president...

OK, we just finished watching SP on 20/20. DW, who is keener about these things than me sometimes, said "Good grief, he was hard on her!" I'll let that be the final word for me on the matter.

It wasn't even the "hard" that I had a problem with. I thought he was nasty to her. I mean, you could tell he didn't like her. however, by the end, he seemed a bit better to me, more like Charlie Gibson usually is, IMHO. He's not good at being a jerk. I just thought he was rude.

I was very impressed with her interview. More impressed that expected.

I hate seeing this election get so dirty. I thought the last one was horrible--I actually had a case of the shingles afterward! This time I think it is going to be worse with people behaving more badly than ever. We all have opinions for sure. I am finding that my clients are coming in flustered and rattling on and on. Usually poitics is never brought up but after the announcement of SP as VP, it has been wild. And still, they will never know who I'm voting for. It gets harder and harder to keep it quiet!

Oh and another thing. Not only does Obama gets a lot more positive press because the media goes light on him they also do a lot of the dirty work of smearing for him, while he gets a pass. I don't think it will play well in the long run. Most Americans like fairness and this election has been anything but about fairness.
