Larak is the OP and started this thread. It is talking about Obama's new ad that says McCain is out of touch and is computer illiterate. She posted an aritlce from 2000 that says

One particular lib is saying it's a cheap political ploy. This makes me sick.

Don't be sick. I don't think we'll ever see an attack ad as certifiably dumb as this one. My great aunt e-mailed me about this, and she turned 82 on Sept. 1.

I'm torn between horror and hilarity.

It's actually mild though in comparison to how many on the left truly feel about conservatives. They really do believe that they are superior. If personal attacks were allowed on the DIS, I have no doubt some here would express the same sentiments towards us as is detailed in this article.

Gas is $3.82 here in Motown, went up about 23 cents since yesterday.

One county west of you.. northern end... 4.29!! I kid you not. We don't even get our gas from the gulf!

On a different subject. DH is getting mad because I can't stop grumbling about stupid Matt Damon saying Palin can't handle Putin and "She probably learned some folksy stuff at the hockey rink". GRRRRRRRRRRR I get home from driving with DS *needs night time rain driving time* to cold stone creamery and what is on tv? FREAKING MATT DAMON! Well, I'm rooting for the enemy now and hoping he gets his butt kicked by some hockeymom who learned folksy stuff at the rink.

I'm glad to get a chance to finaly see this thing! I'd heard all about how condescending and difficult Gibson was on her, but honestly I'm OK with the interview so far. He's not handling her with kid gloves, that's for sure. Gibson pressed her on BHO's taxes; SP whiffed on the answer. She should have told him how BHO's ridiculous new taxes for corporations would cost all citizens a boatload of money.
One thing that did tick me off a bit, Gibson would not take SP's straight-up answer about the "Bridge to Nowhere" funds.

Obama does represent change - just negative change and not positive and his followers are too blind to see it and too deaf to hear it. Whoever posted that UK article earlier today showing the difference between Obama the speaker - the presidential candidate - and Obama the politician – thank you. That was a good article. Seriously, you just have to look at his district in Chicago to see that he's not going to provide positive change for this country. You just have to look at who he associates with and who he has chosen to help him climb his political ladder to know that he's not going to provide positive change for this country. Come November we just have to hope that enough people are actually paying and attention and doing their homework (since the media is a joke) and not falling down on their knees in worship at the empty promises of hope and change that the "messiah" (I guess it's now PC to refer to him as the "messiah" since he's been officially compared to Jesus Christ) promises his faithful followers.

Off topic: What is the Safe Watch in some of the siggies? I missed that one.

.. and speaking of Ike... we're under a tropical storm watch tomorrow here in Dallas. Dallas I never would have thought to associate Dallas Texas with a hurricane. My prayers are also with those south of me – I can’t believe the number of people who chose to stay and I hope that they’ll be alright. A lot of the evacuates were arriving at their check-in point in Mesquite as I was leaving work today.
