Hi Joanne.
I don't think he was raised Muslim though. His mother was quite unorthidox in her views, and she did not have a faith. I don't think Obama took an interest in religion until he joined up with DCP, and then it was politically motivated, in my opinion. It was then that he came to Christ through Rev. Wright, and I suspect his relationship with Michelle may have strengthened his beliefs. He definitely has a unique story.

Perhaps you are right. I guess what I should have said was that there seems to be documentation that it was his stated religion (on school forms) at least at some point in his life. Honestly, I don't suppose it is anybody's business WHAT religion he, or anybody else, is. It's just the odd approach to information or rumors that bugs me. Whatever the deal is, if you're going to touch it at all, why not just SAY it, and get it done and out of the way. I agree with Bet that it is all background noise that would be better not to have at all.
