River: "okay good" River replied "are you telling him or am I?" she asked.

Toby: Toby pulled himself from the mirror, he was not going to let himself have another attack like earlier. He lay in his bed thinking to himself that tomorrow was a new day, and that was when he would figure all of this out.

That night -

Max: "He's your boyfriend," Max murmured sleepily before she finally fell asleep.

The next day -

Max: The first thing Max felt was her throbbing arm. Max woke up, groaning at her stupidity. She got up and stumbled over to the bathroom, locking herself in. Max always preferred to treat her injuries alone, whether they were accidental or on purpose. She took a shower, then cleaned her arm up and redressed it in bandages. She got out of the bathroom and changed into her uniform, then making sure her messenger bag was packed.

Daniel: Daniel woke up in his room. He got up and started getting ready for the day, thinking about his family, and about River as usual. He was a lucky guy, he realized. Even if his dad couldn't be there last night, he had his mom and his two brothers, and he had a beautiful girlfriend. Other people weren't as lucky as he was. Getting his stuff together, he had to smile to himself. This school was probably the best thing that had ever happened to him.

Getting his stuff together, he had to smile to himself. This school was probably the best thing that had ever happened to him.

River: River woke up after Max which had become normal, she heard Max in the bathroom, and lay on her back thinking. It had hit her that she didn't know how Daniel would react to knowing Max's secret, would he be mad for not being told earlier? she wondered

Toby: Toby rolled over, he was awake but didn't feel like it. He had tossed and turned all night in worry, he dreaded leaving his room knowing that he would have to face Max.

Toby: Toby rolled over, he was awake but didn't feel like it. He had tossed and turned all night in worry, he dreaded leaving his room knowing that he would have to face Max.

Professor Collins: Be sure to get ready quickly. I have news - well, it's more of a surprise - but you'll love it!

Max: Max raised an eyebrow curiously at Professor Collins' message. Turning to River, she said, "I wonder what Professor Collins is talking about."

Daniel: Daniel didn't jump in surprise like he used to at the message, he simply listened. A surprise that apparently he would love - well that was interesting.

Professor Collins: Be sure to get ready quickly. I have news - well, it's more of a surprise - but you'll love it!

Max: Max raised an eyebrow curiously at Professor Collins' message. Turning to River, she said, "I wonder what Professor Collins is talking about."

Daniel: Daniel didn't jump in surprise like he used to at the message, he simply listened. A surprise that apparently he would love - well that was interesting.

OOC: Besides the surprise, is today a regular school day?

OOC: My vote would go toward the second one, but I probably won't be able to finish the day, since I leave tomorrow.

Nate: Nate woke up, on time, surprisingly, and rubbed his eyes. He took a shower, then found his uniform in a pile on the floor. He pulled it on, wishing they could have another beach day. He wondered what the surprise was, but didn't let himself get too excited. Knowing teachers, it was probably an educational movie or a sticker.

Margo: Margo climbed out of bed. Today felt much better, much freer, than last night. Know she wasn't bottling all of those awful feelings up. She hummed a happy tune as she took a shower and got dressed. "I wonder what the surprise is? Margo questioned aloud, although she wasn't sure if Alex was up yet.

Nate: Although Nate was used to the group announcements, the individual ones still made him feel strange. They meant someone had actually been listening to his private thoughts. Sure, his private thoughts were usually not important and probably hard to follow, he didn't like thinking that someone else could hear them. He didn't dwell on it too much, though, and went into the common room. "Hey," he told Jack, then sat on a couch.

Max: Max checked to make sure her arm was hidden one last time, then she walked out of the room. She'd done her hair in a military style French braid in honor of her father, but otherwise it was as if it was a normal day for Max. It was almost eerie how she could make the illusion so strong. Of course River and Toby would be able to see through it - she still had no clue what to do about him - but to everyone else, Max was confident they would see her as the quiet, talk-to-no-one-except-when-unavoidable Max.

Daniel: Daniel checked himself one last time. It was amazing how getting a girlfriend had changed him. Before the Institute, Daniel would throw on clothes, comb his hair, and walk out the door. But now, he took more care with his appearance. He didn't primp - that would be too far - but he double checked to make sure he looked good these days before her ran off. Satisfied, he walked out the door, and smiled at each of his classmates. "Hey everyone."

Looking around she stopped at Jack and smiled timidly as he caught her looking.

Jack: Jack nodded in aknowledgement to Daniel before turning to Nate. "Hey man," He said casually before looking around and seeing Alex looking at him. He sent her a wink and dimpled smile before looking away.

She grabbed her bag and put in her shoes before opening the door waiting for Margo. Hearing Daniel she leaned out the door with another smile," Morning Daniel." Looking around she stopped at Jack and smiled timidly as he caught her looking.

Margo: Margo walked out of their room with Alex, joining the growing number of uniformed students in the common room.

Nate: "So, I know two things this surprise definitely isn't. It's not a movie and it's not stickers. You know, I was really looking forward to some stickers." He said with a smile.

Max: "Morning," she replied. Then she bit her lip, and looked at the ground until she finally muttered, "I'm doing okay. Well, no, I'm scared out of my mind, but I will be okay."

Daniel: Daniel wrapped Max in his arms and whispered in her ear, "That's all right. It's okay not to be okay. But if you need anything, tell me. I'll be there for you. You're River's best friend and our classmate, which means I'll look out for you just like I'll look out for her." Then he let her go.

Max: "That's what River said last night. And thank you." Max looked at the ground, but a smile tugged at the corner of her mouth. She knew she would be safe, at least today. In fact, she may as well announce her father was gone. Actually, that wasn't a bad idea.

Daniel: Daniel smiled at Max. "Well, we both know River's a smart girl."

River: River smiled and blushed at everything Daniel said, she said "good morning", and then answering his question said "I'm doing okay" which was not her normal 'I'm good' response. When Daniel called her smart she looked down "thanks" he said smiling, then out of the corner of her eye she noticed Toby in the back of the room, he looked exhausted. She knew she should tell Daniel soon not knowing what Toby was going to do.

River: River nodded "I think that's a good idea" she said in a caring voice. She planned to tell Daniel everything after the professor made her announcement. Maybe this would be a good lead up.

Margo: Margo walked out of their room with Alex, joining the growing number of uniformed students in the common room.
