Alex: Alex pouted her bottom lip and answers,"I'm 15, you're older than me!" She laughs and nods,"Yeah, we usually talk about powers or classes. Nothing like our families or friends or whatever."

Toby: Toby nodded "that's true, speaking of families do you think your parents will come to parents night?" he asked innocently, he had no idea that Alex didn't have a family.

Amelia: Amelia continued walking, coming closer to the meadow. As she approached, she saw Max sitting in the grass, reading. Jeez, she just couldn't stay out of this girl's way! Amelia froze, not knowing what to do. She wasn't sure if Max noticed her or not.

Toby: Toby nodded "that's true, speaking of families do you think your parents will come to parents night?" he asked innocently, he had no idea that Alex didn't have a family.

Alex: Alex's face fell and for a moment, just for a moment, she looked like she was broken. She looked at the ground and coughed,"Um I...I actually...um." She pauses and lets out a breath,"I don't have a family."

Alex: Alex composed herself and looked up from the ground with a small smile,"Hey, it's alright. I've had to answer that question more than a couple times. I'm used to it, you don't need to be sorry." She giggles and tries to joke to show she's not upset, "Don't feel bad for the moving orphan, I got to travel all around America! Other families have to stay in one place, that's boring!"

Alex: Alex composed herself and looked up from the ground with a small smile,"Hey, it's alright. I've had to answer that question more than a couple times. I'm used to it, you don't need to be sorry." She giggles and tries to joke to show she's not upset, "Don't feel bad for the moving orphan, I got to travel all around America! Other families have to stay in one place, that's boring!"

Toby: Toby half smiled back at her. He still felt bad, he wished he would have known, then he wouldn't have said anything.

Alex looked at him wide eyed when she realized,"Actually, you're the first person I've ever told that to. You should feel special!" She smiled hoping to lighten the mood a bit.

Toby: "really? I'm the first person you've told" he said surprised, he had assumed that everyone else already knew, but because he came late he didn't. He smiled at her, he didn't feel badly anymore, in a way he did feel special that she had told him.

She's ten years older than me, and we used to be really close, but then she got married and moved away two states away, and well I hardly ever see her anymore. She just doesn't have time for me now, she too busy living her perfect life." Toby said emphasizing the word perfect. Then he paused, realizing he said much more than he meant to "sorry" Toby said quietly.

I'm figuring out the big ending. It won't be for a while, I just like to have a "destination" of sorts. Once I know where we're going, it'll be easier to figure out how to get there.

Max: Max was completeky oblivious to the world. She wouldn't even notice if someone walked right by her.

Daniel: Daniel walked thrugh the woods with River. It was quiet and peaceful, and he was glad to be spending time with her, even though they weren't talking about anything.
