Daniel: "Yeah, I guess it does. You better just hope my older brothers don't come, they'd tease anybody and everybody."

Max: Alone. The word comforted Max. In her mind, it wasn't a bad thing to be alone. It was amazing. And here she was, alone.

Alex: Alex grinned and sat up straighter,"You have older brothers? And they tease? What's that like? Is it a loving kind of teasing, or is it more like a bullying kind of teasing? Is it fun having a family?"

Jack: Jack roll his eyes annoyed and turned to the small girl,"Do you ever shut up? Do you always ask random people a million questions? Save them for people that are actually your friends, princess." Jack smirked seeing Alex's cheeks turn a bright pink from her anger but she sits back in her seat and looks at her lap. He mentally congratulated himself in making her shut it.

Alex: Alex grinned and sat up straighter,"You have older brothers? And they tease? What's that like? Is it a loving kind of teasing, or is it more like a bullying kind of teasing? Is it fun having a family?"

He mentally congratulated himself in making her shut it.

Daniel: "Yeah. They do, a lot. Unless they're angry, it's more of loving teasing. As for fun.......eh, we're not really together. One's at Harvard with a scholarship to become a lawyer, the other's in Sydney, Austrailia on a music scholarship. It's really just me and the 'rents, and even now, they're in Spain. So right now we're not much of a family, but when we're on the same continent and country, we are."

Alex: Alex smiled and nodded her head,"Other than not seeing each other much it sounds really amazing to have brothers. Even if they tease and you can't see each other all the time, at least you have each other." She smiles and eats some of her apple, loosening her tie a little bit.

Daniel: "I'm saying yeah now, but I won't be agreeing with you next wqeek." He then smiled. It would probably be true. At this moment, Daniel was beginning to realize he was one of the few people in the entire school who had both of their parents and family and those parents and family members actually cared. He was lucky.

OOC: Dude, he is! I think only Daniel, Toby and Nate have both of their parents and they actually care!

Daniel: "I'm saying yeah now, but I won't be agreeing with you next wqeek." He then smiled. It would probably be true. At this moment, Daniel was beginning to realize he was one of the few people in the entire school who had both of their parents and family and those parents and family members actually cared. He was lucky.

OOC: Dude, he is! I think only Daniel, Toby and Nate have both of their parents and they actually care!

Alex: Alex smiled and nodded her head but didn't say another word about it. Alex thought how other people might be upset about never having a family and having to move to a new place every year or so but she thought it made her unique. She couldn't deny that sometimes she will see a happy family with parents and children and get upset, or sometimes she will get incredibly sad thinking about how she will never have anything like that but she gets over it because she knows one day she will have a family.

She couldn't deny that sometimes she will see a happy family with parents and children and get upset, or sometimes she will get incredibly sad thinking about how she will never have anything like that but she gets over it because she knows one day she will have a family.

Alex: Alex listened to the message from the professor and sighed,"I suppose I should get that math homework. Does anyone have the equations or something I can look at or do I need to get a worksheet or something?" She turned to look at Jack hopeful only for him to stand up and walk off. Alex rolled her eyes and looked at the others hopeful.

Alex: Alex listened to the message from the professor and sighed,"I suppose I should get that math homework. Does anyone have the equations or something I can look at or do I need to get a worksheet or something?" She turned to look at Jack hopeful only for him to stand up and walk off. Alex rolled her eyes and looked at the others hopeful.

Daniel: "The homeworek was a worksheet, the professor probably has a copy. We didn't really have notes I don't think. Am I wrong?" he asked, looking to the others.

He sighed and walked out back to the group so he was standing behind Alex,"We took a few notes practicing those equations I think but that's it. River saw Max stand and leave, she wondered here she was going but decided to leave it. She knew Max was too smart to do anything during the day, especially during free period.

Toby: Toby looked up at Alex and smiled at her when she came in. He hadn't met her yet, in a way he was glad to meet someone new, but in the same way he thought he was done with introductions and first impressions. "it's nice to meet you Alex" he said.

Max: Max decided she was going outside. She didn't know where she was going but she was going somewhere. She put her dishes up and left the room, nodding once at the table of her classmates. That was probably going to end up being the popular kids' table. Slowly, this school was becoming just like every other one she had attended. Only difference was, this one was dangerous.

Alex: Alex watched Max walk off and sighed when she was gone, she didn't like that Max was so reserved and wished she could help but she was actually afraid. Not of Max herself, just of what she may do If Alex tried to actually talk with her.

Jack: Jack nodded at Max's leaving figure not really caring about where she was going. "Are we going to get your homework or what? Because I could easily not do my homework earlier."

Alex: "Um, sure! Okay, lets go! Its nice to meet you Toby! Later we can actually have a conversation." Alex laughed and waved at everyone then took one last look at the group before waving and jumping up from her seat. She grabbed Jack's elbow and ran out of the kitchen with him towards Professor Collins office. "Do you think she is in her office?"

River: River came back to the table. River smiled at Alex and Jack as they came to the table. She listened to all of the conversation they had. River saw Max stand and leave, she wondered here she was going but decided to leave it. She knew Max was too smart to do anything during the day, especially during free period.

Max: Max went out the back door and walked away from the building. She just kept walking, past the courts and fields, and on. Eventually, Max made it to a meadow, where she dropped to the ground. Laying among the grass and the wildflowers, Max pulled out a novel. The paperback's cover was faded and worn and the spine had cracks from being bent open over and over. This was one of Max's facorite books, she brought it to every school. It barely left her suitcase, except when Max was reading it. Max opened to the first page and let herself leave the real world and immerse herself in another.

Daniel: Daniel looked around. "So what do you guys wanna do during break? I don't even want to think about touching my math at least until study hall when we have to do something 'productive.' Got any ideas?"

When he was in the kitchen he ran his fingers through his hair as a nervous habit. Then using the fridge as a mirror he continued to fix his hair until he thought it looked perfect. After looking at himself for another second he let out a heavy sigh and thought "why do I care so much?" he then made his way back into the dining room to join the others.

Alex: Alex jumped a bit surprised by the professor but quickly collected herself then giggled at herself. She turns to Jack and smiles, "I'm still getting used to that, isn't it cool?"

Jack:"What's cool?"

Alex:"That Professor Collins can communicate with us inside our minds! It's an amazing power! She continues to walk with Jack then thinks to Professor Collins,"Is it alright if Jack and myself visit you very quick, professor? I just need my math homework."
