River: she looked around for Max, now knowing they were going to be roommates for the year, upon finding her she smiled a caring smile at her and walked toward her shyly.

OOC: I don't have to go back to school until the 14th, I guess thats a perk of college.

OOC: That is a perk.

Max: Max glanced up as River approached. She gave a small smile, the only smile she was capable of, and said, "Guess we're rooming. Do you see it anywhere?"

Amelia: Amelia looked around her room. It was a good size, with two beds, two closets, and a large dresser. Not sure what else to do, she starts unpacking her few belongings. This is the nicest place I've ever been, she thought, The bed is so nice! I can't remember the last time I got to sleep in a real bed like this. If nothing else, at least this school is giving me a nice place to live; way better than surviving on the street.

River: "yeah, I guess we are" she smiled slightly."I haven't looked for our room yet. Hang on" she looks around looking for their names. "oh, I found it, its over there, the last one on the left."

Alex: Alex finished looking around her new room and started to unpack putting her clothes away and hanging up her uniform so she could wear it for classes. When she finished she went back out and sat in a chair, crossing her legs and just looking around trying to take it all in.

Jack: Jack finished his unpacking and jumped on his bed laying down with his arms behind his head,"Maybe this place isn't so bad." He said out loud to himself.

Teddy: Teddy settled into her room, placing her uniform down and sitting on the bed. She pulled the letter out of her pocket and carefully opened it up. There was actually two letters in the envelope, one from her mother and the other from her sister Penny. She pulled out Penny's note first, smiling as she read about Penny's life, how she was thriving in her school and was second violin in her school's orchestra and how she desperately wished she was older and in high school. With a note of amusement, she noticed that Penny had signed the note "Penelope" in an attempt to sound more "adult." Next, she pulled out her mother's note, which detailed how their lives had been since Teddy left home. The last paragraph was simple, detailing how much she and Penny had missed Teddy. Teddy was in tears by the end of the letter, and immediately began writing a reply.

Lucy: Lucy let herself into her room and immediately began scoping out the room for potential hazards and escape routes. "Never can be too careful" she chuckled to herself. She had to remember to check Teddy's room, but she knew she should wait awhile before doing that. Teddy would want some privacy while reading her family's letters and Lucy respected that greatly. Sighing a bit, Lucy sank onto her bed. It was so much more comfortable than anything she'd ever lain on. Maybe a short nap wouldn't hurt.

River: "yeah, I guess we are" she smiled slightly."I haven't looked for our room yet. Hang on" she looks around looking for their names. "oh, I found it, its over there, the last one on the left."

Max: Max smiles, this has been a lot of smiling for her today. "There it is!" Max pulls her two suitcases, one balancing her package on top, over to the door. She opens it and steps inside. A window is at the far wall and Max pushes her stuff next to the wall and goes to the window. From the window Max can see a bit of island and then the ocean. She leaves the window and rools her suitcases under one of the beds, pushing the package underneath as well. Right now she doesn't feel like unpacking, and sits on the bed.

River: she followed Max into the room, not saying anything, she threw her suitcase onto the other bed, and went to look out the window, she stared for a long time not really looking at anything
specific..

Britt: Britt enters her room and to her amazement the beds look really comfortable. She decides to take the bed closest to the window because the view from where she stood was outstanding. She decided then to unpack her things and then wait for her roommate to show up. She only hoped she was as outgoing as herself.

OOC: Just thought of this, for the sake of ease, let's all have bathrooms connected to our dorms with showers and stuff.

Max: Max looked down at the floor. I guess I should unpack, she thought. She reluctantly got up and pulled the package out from under her bed and opened it. Then she opened what she thought to be the closet door and found it was a walk in closet. She hung up her uniform and dropped her shoes on the floor. Then she pulled out the first suitcase and opened it up. She grabbed her second pair of tennis shoes(the first she is wearing), her combat boots, and a pair of flats and dropped them next to her uniform mary janes. She unpacked the rest of that suitcase, hung up the clothes, and shoved the suitcase under the bed. Most of the things Max owns are blue, black, or a dark sharde of some other color. Max pulled out the other suitcase. She took a few clothing ites out and put them out, but the suitcase was mostly filled with other things. She was about to shove this suitcase underneath the bed, but grabbed a framed photo out of the bed and placed it on the nightstand. It showed Max's parents, both in army uniforms. Her dad had black hair the same shade as Max's and brown eyes. Her mother's hair was golden blond, but she had the same blue eyes as Max. And a three year old Max was standing in front of them, with a short black bob f curls and a big smile. They appeared to be at a Veteran's day parade. Max loved and hated this picture. She loved it because it reminded her of better times, but she hated it because it was the last picture of her mother.

River: after staring out the window for a while River turned to begin unpacking when she saw Max staring a a picture, "are those your parents? They're beautiful, I wish I knew my parents."

Max: Max says shortly, "Yes. That's them." She doesn't want to talk about her parents. Her mother was dead by the next year's veteran's day parade, and her father changed from that happy, smiling man in the photograph. Max picks up the photo and puts it face down before abruptly leaving the room. She wasn't ever going to talk about her parents, even if it killed her inside sometimes holding all the secrets of her life inside. She had survived before, and she always would.

River: immediately realizing her mistake she hurried to catch Max. "Wait, Max I'm sorry, I should have known better. I don't like when people ask me about my parents either."

Alex : Alex sighed and walked back to her room falling on her new bed. She looks around her room and sighs looking through her suit case again making sure she didn't forget anything. She finds an old bracelet from one of the kids at her last orphanage and smiles sadly, she puts it on and puts her suitcase in a corner of her closet.

Max: Max stops and breathes slowly. It wasn't her fault. "It's all right," Max murmured quietly. While she was trying to block people out, she didn't want enemies. And she didn't want a scene to be made and people to notice her. It was Max who made scenes, and that would be only in class.

River: River was thankful Max didn't seem to be holding it against her, she couldn't imagine having to be roommates with someone who hated her. River was always told she needed to talk more. But lately everything she said seemed to get her in trouble. She began to make her way back to the room.

Daniel: Daniel had gone into his room. It was nice and the bed was comfortable. He hung up his uniform and unpacked his suitcases. Why had his mom made him bring so much stuff? He probably didn't need this much clothes! Although he didn't really mind that much. It was a sign his mother loved him. At last he unpacked and hung up all of his clothes, and he sat on his bed, not wanting to dig through his trinkets in case he got missing his family.

Max: Max heard River slipping away, but didn't turn around. She felt she should say something, but there was nothing she could say. At least, nothing that wouldn't lead to more questions. And questionds had to be answered with more explaining. Max was not going to get close to people. She couldn't let herself do that, no matter how much she wanted to or how nice these people seemed. They probably wouldn't like her either. No one ever had. Even her own father must. Why else would he ship her off to boarding school to boarding school, like she was a package? Why else would he find schools to abandon her at?

Britt: Britt finishes unpacking her things and decorating her side of the room. She then grabs her basketball and thinks about sneaking down to the gym although she knows it to be forbidden.

OOC: If she goes, she'll find some (possibly harmful) surprises. Assuming she can break in, since they need I.D. cards to get in and they don't have them.

Ooc: Britt may be able to get there without being seen due to her lightening fast speed, but she wouldn't be able to break in. Thanks for the heads up on the harmful stuff.
