ok i decided to have a chronicles of narnia thread so here is the first question

in the lion the witch and the wardrobe book wut was the giants name

I dont remember that giant saying his name at all in the movie, its been a month since I've seen it. But I've read the book and he does say his name in there and it's Rumblebuffin.

C. S. Lewis published them in this order: The Lion the Witch and the Wrdrobe, Prince Caspian, Voyage of the Dawn treader, The Silver Chair, The Horse and His Boy, The Magician's Nephew, and last is The Last Battle

I know know they are saying that that order isnt right but thats how C. S. Lewis wanted them. And the Lion the Witch and the wardrobe had to happen before the magicians nephew because of the thrones at Cair Paravale where Digory and Polly (is that her name I cant remember) wake up the people sitting on the thrones, its been a while since I've read them all. I need to read them again.

Does it say in the movie or the book what the wardrobe was made of at all?

That's why I asked the question of what order the poster wanted the books in. The poster said Chronological, so that's the order I posted them in. Also the Wardrobe was made out of the cherry tree from The Magicians Nephew. It was in the book. The cherry tree was the original portal.

AHA! No, it wasn't mentioned in the movie, which I just saw last night.

So ya think Disney will do them all then? I've heard they've already started on Prince Caspian.

Wasn't the portal to Narnia in the magician's nephew the rings that the magician gave polly and digory? They put on the rings and then they were in the pool.

i just thought of something.........its really hard to tell wich comes first, the magician's nephew or the lion the witch and the wardrobe......because they do say in the amgicians nephew about Digory moving to a mansion in the Englich country side and getting the wardrobe...So i think that you are supposed to read the lion the witch and the wardrobe first, and then find out 5 books later how the wardrobe lead you into narnia and who the proffessor was. So if this really did happen then the Magician's Nephew would have happned first, but you aren't supposed to read it first.

Yea, you're right. And it was an apple tree, not a cherry tree. My bad. But the Apple Tree and the rings would be built into the wardrobe and then become a direct portal to Narnia.
