The Chew Filming Tickets

Just put myself on the waitlist to hopefully receive "The Chew" tickets when they film at Epcot's Food & Wine Festival in October!! Fingers crossed! Does everyone who signs up to receive tickets get put on the waitlist first before they are chosen to actually received filming tickets? This will be my first time attending the Food & Wine Festival!

Does everyone get the waitlist and then get notified? Or do you actually get a confirmation of tickets right away and us waitlist people just got in too late ??

Everyone gets waitlisted when you sign up. They then use a lottery system to assign the tickets. You'll get a confirmation email if you end up getting picked for the tickets and then you have to login to you account, to accept the tickets.

If it's done through there then you request tickets, everyone is put on wait list, you can request up to 3 tapings.

When I got tickets to the Jimmy Fallon show taping at Universal you found out if you got the tickets about 2 weeks out. They send an email telling you whether your request if fulfilled or not. If you do get the tickets then you go on the site and confirm your tickets

You're notified about 1-2 weeks out from the taping

Last year I requested tickets the within minutes that it was allowed. I was very hopeful. Then I kept reading posts from people who got their tickets, many of them requesting them days after I did. Then I realized something.....all of the people getting their ticket requests were much younger than myself and my husband. It was obvious that The Chew only wanted their audience to be younger than we were. Very disappointed!

I'm sure that's not true. Someone commented above they use a lottery assignment, so randomly chosen?

Well, if there had been a lottery system, then I think everyone would have been notified at the same time, instead some people didn't get notified until close to the taping date, while others had been notified immediately.

The people notified later could have been because the first people that got chosen couldn't go.

Which day did you request? I requested Friday October 6th and I'm still showing as "waitlisted".

I got my email today also! I had requested Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday morning show 4 tix and I got the Wednesday morning show. I had a friend who had also done the same requested because we are actually a group of 8 but she did not get an email. I confirmed my tix right away and got group A. I had done my profile on 1iota to 100% because it had mentioned you have a better chance and I am not sure if my friend ever got hers to the 100%. Just FYI for anyone.
