About the earlier conversation about telling a child they were a twin.

My sis sent announcemnts out once lil guy was out of the woods and getting ready to be home. She added on the back of the announcement that Lil N had a big brother angel to watch over him.

In this case everyone knows he was a twin.. her oldest is very aware of the sitauation and I would guess she will let lil N know that he has a brother.

As for his other "older" brother (delivered at 16 weeks due to anecaphalic /no brain) and other "siblings" that miscarried (3 ) .. my sis only speaks of those times as "when I was sick" . I doubt her kids will ever know.

The doc thinks the miscarriages and the anacephalic were due to spinal cord deformities. She took folic acid after that.

My bro made us laugh so hard awhile ago. He said that he and my dad were on a business trip to China last year and some random guy appeared next to them (on the street) and had a dancing monkey! My dad made this mean face and went: "Grrrrr!!" and I just lost it and started laughing at the image.

Seriously, stay away from the threads lady. have you ever gotten a charlie horse or something like that in your leg or a minor cramp and you go on webMD and you think you are dying? Seriously DYING. That is what will happen if you keep reading. You will worry about everything. You are healthy and the DR's are happy. I know its hard, I just want to come up and hug you. You are doing great and as long as you take care of yourself you'll be fine and you'll have happy babies I promise.

Oh and my bros are 6'5 now. You may not want them THAT big. My kids dont believe they are my little brothers. I still call them that.

Another bonus my mom did. After having twins she would say to her pregnant friends that were unusually large that they "must" be having twins and scare them because they were as large as she was. Ok they never were but you get to tell stories like that and scare us single birthing mama's to death. My cousins do that too.

Well... One time Mikalah had a sore throat and I was convinced she had meningitis. Her sore throat was gone in a few hours.

Your makin me cry.. You suck!!!! WAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! Dont be nice to me!! Im not used to it! Im a worry wart. I have stressed over everything so far... Yesterday, hubby asked if the babies were moving.. I dont feel them really regular yet, its just kinda brief subtle things.. in the evenings mainly..and of course I freaked because I ahdnt felt them start up their nightly exercise. Which they did about 20 minutes later.. Oy.. Be GLAD you arent around to hear me blather.

Alex will be TALL. I know it. His dad was 6-something.. and he is the SPITTING image of his dad.

Yeah. I haven't seen them since our trip to DL. It was cool to hang out with everyone. We haven't done that for a long time. My cousin is in town for the week and then she's going back to school. Same with my bro.

That's why we moved back to MN!

In the excitemnt of a new career and new lifestyle we forgot what was important to us.

But we also feel that we had to be there for DNTheMarine.
I'm so excited! He's coming to visit next week , just overnight, before his deployment.

It felt good talking to him today.

He said his deployment is October 6-10, I said oh you aren't sure

and he said nooooo we can't say the exact date.. oh yeah duuuuuuuuuuuh




I know very little about the military life. Tiny steps.

That is a good way to deal with it, I think.. At 16 weeks, I think it is a lot more... I dont know.. real?? Then it would be in the first trimester. Does that make sense? Probably not.

I hope that didn't come out wrong earlier. The responses on that one thread that "You MUST tell him" and "You were wrong not to tell him from the start" had me so puzzled! But maybe there is some different sort of thing if it's a twin rather than a singleton.

I still don't get it, but I get that to some people it does matter.

Sweet! My family and I have our differences but it's really cool when we get to hang out together. It's nice to have my cousin back in town and my bro. They always make me laugh with their stories. My cousins' sister is coming back this weekend. It's her b-day on Sunday and she LOVES Jack Skellington. I got her a Jack shirt from Disney Store. I hope she likes it.

aww I'm sorry, that wasn't my intent. Just something that was discussed earlier and wanted to weigh in on it.

Lil guy is a walking, breathing, almost talking miracle and we are extremely thankful to have him in our family.

We are so grateful to the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, if he was born anywhere else.. he likely would not have lived. (FOUR months early)

Thats what we said too. Frelan was so upset he missed it. He wants to be at every appt. from here on out. Especially if I get ultrasounds at each!
