My insurance Co. tried to make me reuse cath. when I was on home health care from surgery....that is nasty...we just paid for some because the thought of it freaked me out

That is so wrong!

Putting a non sterile cath in a sterile environment.. leading to infections, leading to higher costs for insurance company.. dorks!

See this is what is worng with our health care in the US, preventive care is CHEAP. But no, we ask people to do unsafe practices to save what a few measely dollars?

They re-use dialyzers in clinic, which is okay,, but not optimal. To make it more interesting, if you are doing well they will give you a smaller filter. Smaller ones are NOT as effective. Cost savings?

when I had my hysterectomy it went bad and I was in surgery 3 times that day...anyway...I couldn't use the bathroom..it was awful..the thing that I thought was messed up was them trying to TEACH you how to do it to yourself

yeah, do you know how hard it is to cath a female compared to a male?? But the guys sure do groan and moan about caths. Hubby had a procedure to remove stents after kidney transplant ( I love how they didn't tell him abou this before surgery). Well they had to cath camera to visualize the stents and pull them out.. yes.. out of there!

He was so funny afterwards.. but I iwll get points if I say what he really said.. pretty much his complaint was "My X hurts"

I am so glad I'm eating right now.

I read trashy, slutty Harlequin Romance novels. You know they have gotten way trashier than they were say 20 years ago. I used to enjoy reading all sorts of books, but during my treatment a friend sent me a huge box of romance novels and I sort of got hooked on them. Although I had one recently that kind of grossed me out.

oh really? now what could gross out Alison?

I get my trashy historical romance in large bundles from Half Price Books, clearance section of course
They had them in bundles of 4 for a $1, now it's 3 -- ahhh hard times even at the half price store.

I started reading Harlequin romances when i was in jr. high, which was totally appropriate then that there would be just a chaste kiss and then the hero and heroine would marry and live happily ever after.

But after having a few college-age romances I couldn't stand those anymore, and went for some racier books. Though I still don't like the ones that have a lot of bed-hopping, cheating, or casual sex. I read Waiting To Exhale and just couldn't get into that.

yea, but if she had known about the dining back when she booked she could have found places to dine in one shot...its the week before and finding an opening is a headache...so don't let that stop you from WDW G...besides, they have really good chicken
