I am looking for a recipe that calls for 1 cup or 1 tbsp. or 1 tsp, or 1 stick of butter or 1 egg....whatever ingredients are in it.

The key is that what ever is in the recipe calls for 1.

I know I've seen a recipe somewhere like this- and I believe it was for a cake or some kind of dessert.

Does anyone here know what I'm talking about or have a recipe like this??

I would really appreciate it if you would share it with me if you do!

THANKS!

I think you may be thinking of the old-fashioned recipe for pound cake, which uses 1 pound each of flour, butter, eggs, and sugar.

Of course there are lots of variations on pound cakes now, but I was able to find this one fairly quickly by doing a search: http://www.recipezaar.com/46023.

If you try it, let us know how it turns out!

I was going to say the same thing. I believe that was the traditional recipe for pound cake (though Cooks Illustrated did a pound cake article and tried this one and it was not the best).

the only one I can think of is the same as the other posters.
the recipe for poundcake.

You may be thinking of a recipe for cobbler. It's 1 cup flour, 1 cup milk, 1 cup sugar - mix together, pour into baking dish. Add 3 cups of fresh fruit of your choice (peach, blueberry, blackberry). Bake at 375 for 35-45 minutes.

The cobbler sounds yummy!

If you're making pound cake you may find you need to add a little milk depending on how fresh your eggs are (they get a bit watery as they get older) - very fresh eggs can make the dough a little stiff.

Peanut Butter Fudge

1 cup peanut butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup chocolate chips
1 stick of butter

Melt ingredients in saucepan and stir until smooth. (I'd start with butter.) Pour into container and chill.

We use the Tupperware Hot Dog Keeper to pour melted mixture into. When it sets up, we turn out and cut into squares that have molded around the raised diamond shapes in the bottom of the keeper. You could use another kind of mold.

This fudge is smooth and creamy and delicious.
