The Celebrity Apprentice 2

I feel Trump favored Dennis and Brande more than anyone on the show. I felt the two of them should have been gone in the first few shows. He seemed to gush over them.

Joan I felt was the lesser of two evils (not that I think either Joan or Annie is evil). Joan could be very ascerbic but she told you to your face. She didn't talk behind Clints face she said in front of him. But Joan found a way to work with Clint and accept his flaws.

Annie was a two face and mowed people down. She had zero people skills. I thought Tom and Dennis were hilarious when they were trying to get Annie's goat. Annie is very impressed with herself. There was never a task that she wasn't jumping all over herself to take credit for. Her favorite two words are "me and me". I want to crush Joan. I want to humiliate her.

Trump seemed to agree with Joan's mafia comment. Mafia in Vegas !?? NO WAY!! :lmao:

I wish they had more cameras on Annie and Brande when the winner was announced and afterwards it ended too soon.

Oh and can I add just how crazy it is that Joan and Melissa went and had more work done before the finale
Respectfully, I think you're only half right. Melissa has stated on the record that she regrets ever allowing her mother to talk her into having plastic surgery.

Probably that person expected that, by the time they made the change, interested parties would at least know who won - if not how.

Respectfully (there's that word again ;)) while we're all entitled to our opinions, the actual decision and the resulting action were made by the original poster - the person who was kind enough to start the thread and post all the information about season 2 of Celebrity Apprentice, over a month before it premiered - giving all of us ample opportunity to "pre-discuss" it :teeth:

The show was 2 days ago--America doesn't wait for everyone to catch up to break news.
Besides we just saved you 3 hours of wasted time.

It's not up to you to save anyone wasted time, nor is anyone asking "America" to wait for anyone to catch up to break news. It's just common courtesy (or should be) to leave the results of a game/show/contest out of the title of the topic on a discussion board. There's no avoiding it in the title. If anyone wants to find out the breaking news, they can open the thread; no one is asking that it just not be discussed at all until they're ready to read it. Is this concept really that difficult to understand and follow through? No one is missing out on anything if the results aren't in the topic. :confused3 But some people will get the results before they've had a chance to catch up. Not everyone has tons of time on their hand to always immediately watch their TIVO'd shows. I just don't get what's accomplished by putting the final info in the title. :confused3

And it's also not up to members of message boards to make sure every single person has watched every episode of every show before commenting on it.

That's like saying don't start a thread about a hostage situation going on right at this minute because not everyone is in front of a tv and has seen the actual report.

Seeing as that the finale was 2 days ago and has been the topic of discussion on news programs, daytime television and many websites you'd have to be living under a rock to not now what the outcome of the show was.

Had the winner been posted to the thread title immediately after the show then yeah I could see your point but after 2 days there's nothing wrong with it

I personally don't think the winner should be in the thread title. There's no reason for it.

Come on, it's been all over the TV, newspapers, radio, etc.

I really don't think the winner should be in the title. This isn't breaking news, like a tornado or hurricane would be. It doesn't impact people's lives, there is no warning to get out of your home because of danger, and I can't see ruining the surprise for those who haven't had time to watch the show. It can be avoided, if you avoid places you would expect to see it. I wouldn't have expected to see it in this title. I'm sorry for those of you that had the surprise ruined :( I would never have thought the title would have had the winner, and I would have avoided looking at the thread until after I watched the show, so I understand why it's upsetting to you.

As the OP of this thread, I am very sorry for posting JOAN's name in the thread title. As other posters have said, by Tuesday afternoon, I just figured that everyone knew who was the new Celebrity Apprentice. :guilty:

 To: irishbosoxfan, Shadow Dancer & kaytieeldr

I was very disappointed in Joan's behavior during the show. She took things to a personal level every time and said some really nasty things, not just about Annie. I got sick of it being the Joan and Melissa show. It also got on my nerves that Donald didn't even want to listen. In many instances he had already made up his mind what was going on before asking Annie or whoever about it.

Kar, don't worry about it. As someone said after 2 days it's been all over the news -papers and internet. I've seen people talk about the winner, you can't get away from it.

Well I'm a little annoyed because it's obvious this whole show was a set-up! I won't say from day one, but once Joan acted like such an old HAG to Annie, it was clear they wanted a show down.

I never did comment on it, but poor old Melissa who "hated high school" was acting JUST like an immature high school drama queen. Oh, they is talking behind my BACK! OMG! Those viper *****s! Get over it. It's not the end of the world and sorry, people are going to talk about you. Not everyone is an in your face kind of person. Not even likes to create drama.

But she is a media ***** and got want she wanted: her mug plastered all over TV for a few weeks.

Respectfully, that was only one of five goals - or 20%. No goal held more weight than any other one; since Annie won two and Joan won three... as Pier pointed out... Joan won.

And that, to me, is a bunch of bull! How often in life are we given projects or tasks where each aspect is equally weighted? Very very rarely. They had to do that because otherwise Annie would win. I've never once had a single project or work evaluation where each aspect was "graded" the same. Never! It just doesn't make sense. Certain things are more important than others.

To say that having a few tacky celebrity impersonators, and colorful balloons and tablecloths is more impressive than raising $400K is ridiculous. The funny thing is, Annie raised more money even without the $250K grand prize!

I honestly don't care for Annie, based on what we've seen. But at the end of the day she raised a hell of a lot of money and performed better. For that I think she should have won. This isn't a personality contest, or so I thought! She did a better job than Joan. Hands down!

Except to me, her main motivation was not the charity, it was winning. I assume everyone was there with the hopes of winning, but I felt Annie called on her "friends" to help HER, not necesarrily the charity. Joan seemed very involved in her charity. Annie probably just picked one because she had to for the show.

But who cares? In the end, it all comes down to $$$$. I don't particularly like when people give to charity solely for a tax deduction, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter because the charity is benefiting. And frankly, it's no worse than the ultra-rich who expect their name to be etched in stone whenever they donate money. And really, it was Joan who said it's not about the charity!

Now all this being said, I do like Joan and Melissa because THEY, more so than anyone on that show, KNOW how to make good TV! And that's why this thread is still going :happytv:

Who knew this reality TV would last so long :lmao: I am hooked!

My 2 cents--please don't put the winner in the title. I certainly understand that in this free country the OP can do as they wish but I just wanted to be another voice suggesting to please not do that. I live in the land of spoilers LOL...we are 6 hours behind the eastern time zone so I have to really lay low (as in, stay offline!) when a big season finale is on. And yes I'm part of America. ;)

Which reminds me...LOST has already aired back east so I should go into hiding now LOL!!

Now isn't that interesting!

"It quickly became evident that Joan cared more about integrating the corporate sponsors into the event than benefiting the actual charity."

Annie won the parts about raising money and representing her charity. Joan won the parts about making Kodak look good. I wonder what kind of conversations there are on the cutting room floor about the focus of Joan's party.

I know how it is - I often try and avoid press if there is a show I want to watch on my own but seriously I don't see how anyone can expect not to have heard the info without shutting out the entire outside world two days later (when the thread title was updated).

By that point Joan had been on Regis, phoned in on the View and had been the topic of numerous other morning shows and radio programs.

This isn't life. This is television. Seriously - when the (lower-rated each season until it was cancelled) "regular" Apprentice aired, the winner worked for Trump for a year, whether it meant quitting their existing job, taking a leave, or happening to not have a job at the moment. Piers Morgan does not work exclusively for Trump - what DOES he do for Trump, anyway, except appear occasionally on Celebrity Apprentice ;) - he continues with his existing position as one of the judges on that British show; and so, Joan Rivers (or whoever ended up winning CA this season) will also NOT work exclusively for Trump but will continue with whatever celebrity career they have/had.

AND TRUMP SAID there were five parts to the task, and that whoever won the most parts would win the title. Piers reinforced that in the boardroom.

Joan could have had a lemonade stand with a Kodak Camera and she would have won those parts.
It was so set up, it's not funny. He signed her on the show for her drama and bring in ratings. She's such a witch and whiny PIA she insisted she or her DD win.

I do wonder why Jesse didn't try and raise any money at all, he really could have????

He was fully invested in the show at the beginning, and holding back for later projects where a) he would be PM. and b) the dead wood would already be gone. He was a hard worker and central to the positive parts of his losing team's efforts (his stuff was always praised even when they lost).

Then he got sick. And while he was still sick (I think) they started playing the Sandra Bullock card. I have no doubt that his doing the show was contingent on her name not being mentioned at all -- and they did. After the first time he was angry, and after the 2nd, 3rd time he stopped trying and to my mind was just fulfilling his contractual obligation to be there, while resenting their breach of whatever agreement there was to leave his wife out of it.

Similarly, I believe promises were made to Melissa, and that explains her breakdown at the producers when she was fired. Then Trump assured Joan and Melissa that Joan was a lock for the win and all was good again.

You say all that like it's fact....

Didn't the Kodak guy say that he liked Annie's branding better (in his interview while in the parties)? She used the digital picture frames for each auction item and he liked it. That's why I was confused when Trump said that Joan won the branding for the task:confused3.

I think he said he liked the "branding" of the charity, not Kodak.

 It's okay, OP. We all make mistakes, and I'm sure no one's mad at your for it.

Annie was trying to say something along these lines but Joan interuppted her and lashed out at her as if she lied about abouteverything, While Trump didn't give Annie a chance to talk yet let Joan rant and rave.

It was all fixed to have Joan or Melissa win.

I was really annoyed that Annie was not giving much of a chance to talk and Joan was allowed to act as she did.

Joan kept calling Annie a liar when all Annie was trying to do was explain what she was told was the reason for the decorator quitting--Nice to see that even though Trump couldn't man up that the decorator confirmed Annies version.

And yes it was fixed. I want all the time back I wasted watching the Joan and Melissa Rivers show.

I'm glad the decorator was able to get the truth out.

Joan's behavior made me sick and Trump's allowing it was frustrating.

That is exactly what I was thinking when Melissa complained about high school girls. The only ones acting like nasty high school girls were Joan and Melissa. When the show started, I thought I would like Joan and Melissa and dislike Annie. It turns out that I ended up feeling just the opposite.
