The Celebrity Apprentice 2

Getting rid of Melissa just sets Joan up to avenge her daughter's firing. I'm sure she'll be back. Makes for great drama and I'll admit that I'm sucked in. LOL. That was a strange boardroom. First it started with the who did what on the current task. Then it shifted to money making.:confused3 Melissa came across horrible, but Brandi should really have been fired.

I wonder if Trump wrote, "I'm sleeping with Brandi," on the note. :scratchin
:lmao:
A little FYI on "Joan's people." Joan's friends are what's called "old money" in the multi-BILLIONaire realm, and are all old like her. (What is she 71?) Her friends include people like the Rockefellers, the Gettys, the Whitneys & Vanderbilts, the Astors, (deceased) Estee Lauder, and Ron Perlman, head of Revlon, and George Soros.

These people don't just throw around their money, especially to a TV show, even the Donald's, who they are friends with.

Melissa was right when she slammed Trump that episode, saying he was being unfair, where he was insinuating Joan didn't know rich people who have money to give to charities. Since he knows the exact same people, and what they give money to and for.

You notice none (or hardly) any of these same people named above gave money to any of his charities over the years of hos show. When they raise monies for charities, it's to create charitable foundations in their own name) not Trump's. You don't just call these people up asking for funds to Trump's TV show for someone else's charity. Nor, do you trott out their name for your own personal gain. Notice all threee of them were tight-lipped about who they are friends with.

The Astor family has donated money to create Astor Court in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In fact, most of the families I named: Whitneys & Vanderbilts, Estee Lauder's family, have generously donated millions upon millions to fund the NYC museums, as well as have their own personal collections on display. The Gettys have their own museum in L.A. They have more charities than imaginable. American museums are government funded the way European museums are. If it wasn't for "Joan's friends," we woiuldn't have the quality of museums and arts programs we have today.

Estee Lauder's daughter in law created her own breast cancer foundation after finding she had breast cancer. Revlon heads their own Breast Cancer Run/Walks each year.

The Rockefellers donated the island of St, John in the Virgin Islands as a wildlife sanctuary. Who donates an island?!? :faint:

Many of the "ladies who lunch" who are wives of these multi-BILLIONaires head up various charitable organizations, as a "hobby" for their free time, when they are not shopping or lunching with each other.

Annie's friends are all "new money" making it themselves, and off of the greed & misfortune of other gamblers. That's what Joan meant when she said that their money had blood on it. Meanwhile Joan's friends funnel quite a bit of their money back into the US economy & abroad.
A very interesting read...thanks!

I didn't watch this season from the beginning because I couldn't bring myself to watch Kardashian. :scared:

That was very interesting...thanks for the info!

I was hopping around my living room in glee when he fired Melissa. Honestly, for the past three weeks I've been fast-forwarding through her mini interviews (and about 1/3 of the program) because I could not stomach her whining anymore. I almost gave up on the show completely because it was getting very old very quickly. The way she treated the people who had NOTHING to do with her firing ("Get my *bleeping* purse! I want my *bleep*! You're not getting a *bleeping* interview!") shows us exactly the kind of person she is. Between her and Joan's hypocrisy, I was done.

Joan is one to talk about Annie -- slamming Annie for the things she said about Brandie, even though Annie reconciled with Brandie later. But Joan said some pretty nasty things about Clint a few weeks ago (saying that she even hated him and that she never wanted to see him again) and now she's practically his best friend. How is that behavior any different? Then she makes some very rude and personal attacks at Brandie and Annie before she stormed off...completely based on the fact that Melissa was gone and nothing else. It just makes me shrug my shoulders and tell myself that celebrities are truly a different breed. My guess is that she will be back because she needs to have not only the last word, but the word after THAT.

Annie is manipulative, but she's one heck of a game player. So I think she has the talent to win it all.

I have been wondering all along -- I mean, these ARE celebrities, and some actors are sprinkled among them -- how much drama was "written in" before the show even started. Mark Burnett is a master of reality shows. I have no doubt that some of this "drama" is contrived and preconceived. So it's difficult to accurately label any of them, truly, just based on this program.

I wished Trump would have kept Pierce in the show longer than just one episode. I really enjoyed his observations! He is the most interesting celebrity out of all of them, IMO. He really mixed it up in the boardroom.

You know, I really think it IS different. Joan reconciled with Clint to a degree. She knows that even though it's a competition, for now you need to work as a team. That works best if your team gets along.
She's not even phony about it. She doesn't agree with him a lot of the time - but everybody, um, what's the word... oh, heck, I can't remember - but they can disagree with how the other works, and still get along.
Annie, on the other hand, and unless the editing is really skewed, would step on her own mother if it meant winning a challenge.

It just makes me shrug my shoulders and tell myself that celebrities are truly a different breed.

Actually, celebrities are the same breed as everybody else - teachers , doctors, SAHM's, presidents, etc. I've seen all kinds of people behave in the same way. Celebrities don't hold the patent on being obnoxious;)

That being said, yup, Melissa seems to have led a spoiled life, judging from her behavior. Joan seems like she's constantly in Mama Bear mode, judging by her behavior.

I think that they both worked as hard as they could (or were allowed to do) on their tasks. I believe that they both have good business sense. I also don't think that Melissa should have been fired for this task.

But boy, was that some good tv drama:worship:

I really hoped Annie got fired. All task long it was " did this. I did that. I invented the wheel. I'm the smartest person in the world. I'm great. Me. Me. Me. " But in the boardroom after they lost it was "I did what the PM told me to do" and Brande is too stupid to see what Annie was doing. Annie was throwing her to the wolves. Rather than turning around and saying that Annie did the work that lost them the task. And putting Annie on the firing line alittle. I think Jim Kramer would have gone along with Annie. He was incredulous that Annie was manipulating everything and no one called her out on it. But I think Trump felt Melissa and Brande wouldn't make great ratings.

I still hope Jesse wins because I despise Annie

Joan and Melissa were on Ellen today.

They really didn't say much. Joan couldn't say if she was coming back or not. All they really said was we saw only a little bit of what was going .It was worse when the cameras weren't on. That they were really catty behind the scenes and smiles for the camera. Lots of hate for Annie and Brandi.

Tionne does a weekly update on the Tom Joyner radio show. She said she had NEVER seen so much cattiness in her life, and this is a woman who worked with an all woman group for years and her manager was female, too! :lmao: She seems to DESPISE Annie and said that no one saw how bad it was behind the scenes, either.:scared:

Regis called Trump the other day and asked him about the note in the boardroom. Trump said that he and Cramer had decided that Brande should be fired but between the way she came back and defended herself and the way Melissa focused on the cattiness made her lose focus on the task so he changed and decided Melissa should go, and SHOCKINGLY :lmao: Cramer agreed.

I think for the final two, if Annie is one of them, people will come back to work against her, and I also think Melissa was right about Annie wanting Melissa gone because she was a bigger threat to her than Brande. Melissa is a whiner, but when you look back at the tasks, Brande didn't really do much.

Funny you mention Tionne. I heard her on Tom Joyner a few shows ago mention how arrogant Brian McNight is and how he didn't really talk to her. He was kind of rude. Brian seems kind of full of himself. Tionne also mentioned how Joan would wake up first thing with her make-up already done :rotfl: Joan doesn't let you see her not made up.

Glad to see Joan back. Two more will be fired. 3 hr finale next week. Gosh I hope Annie gets the boot!

Speaking of self-proclaimed "not-dumb blondes" - holy s-r-a-p? I know she corrected herself, but still...

I think Joan should have worn a mermaid costume for the presentation. :rotfl:

You're laughing - but to have someone roll her past the executives, in a mermaid costume and carrying that sign, would have been attention-getting ;)

I'm worried about KOTU's song...

Respectfully to the executives, I disagree with their opinions of the popularity of a particular music genre. And I thought the 'conversation' commercial was extremely rushed.

Good grief ~ does she EVER stop tooting her own horn? A little humility goes a long way. :rolleyes1

Ah, rats! I was so sure she was going to make some outrageous suggestion when Trump asked "who would you fire?". I was sure Joan would say Annie... yes, even though they were on separate teams :teeth:
