Thanks for the inspiration on this thread and others here on DIS! I finally am 2/3rds the way through my Disney Activity Book and wanted to share with you. I created this part activity book, part scrapbook for my DD2 in prep for our upcoming trip.

I did this yesterday - I was going for a bold, bright cartoony look - I didn't quite get the cartoony bit but it's bright ;) TFL Kx

I love this Kirsteen! Red is my favorite color and I have never used it as a background yet. I will have to give it a try.

I finally have Disney pages to share! We got back from our trip on Monday (8/20) and I have done the first 2 pages as of today (8/26)

It's hard to see in the pictures, but I used pop up squares to have the sections of the Pop map that applied to our stay pop up from the page(i.e., the building we were in, the pool, Classic Hall). I also have the room number plate and the towel animal popping out.

This is my sister when her beautician didn't get her hair color right. Needless to say Sue was really upset, I couldn't help but laugh. Of course, always the scrapbooker and photographer, grabbed my camera and scrapped this immediately, just so she wouldn't forget this day! :rotfl:

Great page of your sister! how funny that a scrapbooker would find humor in your sister's hair being dyed the wrong color. LOL! I would have done the same. In moments like those my first reaction is to grab the camera and snap away. LOL! Great layout.

I started working on a scrapbook I am calling The Book of Me. I want to put things in it about me, things that make me happy, things I do, etc.
I just did a few LO's with pictures of me, and my children.
This is the latest. Top left left is me, top right, on the right is my youngest dd now 25. Bottom left, front and center is older dd now 31 and then bottom right int the center is my 5 yo dgd.

On the second page the 2 top left are me, top right younger dd, bottom left older dd, and bottom right on the right dgd.

Friday I leave on a 3 night scrapping cruise to Ensenada, Mexico. I am going for the cruise and the scrapping, not the destination!:rotfl2: I have been waiting for this to start scrapping my Disney Cruise. I am so excited to get started!

Oh, I love this ...what a great page LO to show how all 3 of you are passionate about your dance. You are making a keepsake treasure = heirloom!

:rotfl2: It was more a case of, "can anyone in this family dance?" My mother was a dancer, and it went waydown hill after her! I have two left feet and so do my girls and granddaughter. We were and are SO BAD!!! :lmao: Maybe Madison will have a daugher with some talent!

What I did was, for the very last page (i.e. since there's only one) I did a page called "odds and ENDS" for it being the end of the book and the fact that it contained miscellaneous items. I just picked out a cute paper and glued stuff randomly around the page. I ended up loving it!! I think I would have put in a random picture of the two of us if I were repeating this in future books to kind of give it a little more cohesiveness, but since I was doing an 8x8 there wasn't space.

Can we see a picture of this page?

I'm afraid I don't have one, and since I'm moving, it's in storage. I can try to get one up, but it will likely be more than a month until I can do it since we have yet to find a house....I'm sorry!!

Well,
This is my first time posting on this thread. I just finished up my scrapbook from the trip we took in May '07. We did a Land/Sea Vacation. I hope you enjoy... Sorry if these are really big. I'm new to posting pictures, and not sure how to make them smaller.

It looks like you guys had a wonderful time -- and you've given me some inspiration for pics as I never seem to take any as we enter a ride but I like your pics with that. It really helps tell the story and sets the mood for the rest of the pictures of the ride/restaurant, etc.

Thanks for posting and good job!!:thumbsup2

I originally posted this in my Disney scrapbook thread, but will also post it here.

I finally took a few pictures of new layouts. :) This one is for "It's A Small World." I scraplifted the layout idea from Tomianne on the Cricut board. When I saw the layout she had done for a family vacation I thought it would lend itself well to IASW since you can fit lots of pictures in and it doesn't look too crowded or overwhelming. I used Opposites Attract for the letters. It took quite a while to glue all of them down. Ugh. For the first set of pages each picture was cut at 2x2 inches, but I had less photos for the second set of pages, so I cut those 2x4. It was sort of a pain to cut out the pictures because when I did it I used my Fiskars trimmer because I don't have a 2x2 punch, which would probably make it easier. If I was to do a layout like this again, I would use a punch. I would love to get the Paper Dolls cart and create some people for the sides, but I will be patient and wait until its not exclusive to AC Moore.
