Kim and Cindy -- glad to see you guys on the digi-wagon! LOL

Keep it up!!

I love it, I can sit in front of the TV with the family and create. No mess. I think I am doing pages I wouldn't necessarily create if I was scrapping the old fashion way! Plus it sure is fun to just email the pages to family and friends. Now to purchase a 12 X 12 printer. Any suggestions?

Here is another digital layout I did for the Maryland State Monument. Again from the Antietam National Battlefield. All photographs are my own and no kits or anything were used in creating the layout.

MDState-SM.jpg

The text on it is: "Erected by the State of Maryland to her Sons, Who on this field offered their lives in maintenance of their Principles." This comes from the monument itself.

And just as a random fact the Maryland State Monument is the only monument at Antietam that is for both the Union and Confederate troops because as a border state, Maryland had troops fighting for both sides. It is one of my favorite monuments and the first time we visited in 2004 it was under repairs so I didn't get to get any photos of it. It truly is beautiful. I just read on their website that the MD monument is closed again because the roof is decaying from the elements. :( Its so sad to hear because it is a beautiful monument and a reason why we need to support our national parks and the work they do to preserve our past.

I have the Epson photo 1280, it's their "older" model, but i got it at Staples with a rebate of 100.00, so it only cost me $300 - which if you think of it, you need to spend about $200 for a good photo printer anyway, so for an extra $100 i was able to get the 12x12. Not bad. And the pic quality is AMAZING. I truly love Epsons! :thumbsup2

Very elegant, sometimes you don't need all the embellishments, the photos say it all!

Thanks for the info on the Epson, I will check it out. Now to figure out where to put another printer . . . I only have 4 now and 1 scanner, hey what's 1 more!

Hi Caitsmama,

Your daughter is adorable. I really loved your pages, where did you get the crocheted flowers, they sure would make great accents. The Belle layout is perfect, so soft, what a princess!

I have basically taught myself thus far, I like how you tilted the photos and layers. I need to practice and keep playing. How did you learn to scrapbook digitally, classes, self taught?

Yeah, Mags is our old girl she will be 13 in July. It is so sad to watch them age, especially when she never wanted to stop playing or swimming. Now its a good day if she plays!

It was amazing that my lab made it to almost 15. He had hip problems that is what hurt him and he couldn't walk.

I have two more digital layouts to post.

20th NY Monument:

20thNY-SM.jpg

I love the effect at the top of the flag draped over the monument. Whoever sculpted and designed the monument did an amazing job. I love the use of the black and white and color photography. As you can see, I like to keep it all very simple, because the photography is what should stand out.

The Irish Brigade:

IrishBrigade-SM.jpg

Again, I love the black and white photo. I think this photo looks amazing in black and white. I love the stuble use of the green. This is another truly beautiful monument. It is actually the newest monument. There was a group of people who fought for years to get this monument made to honor the sacrifice of the Irish Brigade at "Bloody Lane." I'm glad they suceeded because the monument is beautiful.
