Some of the die cuts like the jasmine/aladdin one you talked about was made from the CRICUT... and it's cartridges... I think that one is the Dreams Come True cartridge. If you go to cricut.com that will explain more about the machine and show you all the cartridge available (at additional cost~ but so worth it with all the additional features it has)... Sometimes the specific words can be cut out from the same cartridges you find the characters on...

Hope that helps a little..and :welcome: to our cozy little corner... Feel free to jump right in to the threads and if you have any questions just ask..someone is usually around that will be glad to answer or point you in the right direction to get the answers!!!!

Thanks so much!!!:goodvibes

Just wondering if the park does sell anything special in the scrapbooking area,
just wondering what I should be sure not to miss?? Thank you all so much.:goodvibes

Hi Everyone, I was looking at the cricut website and was just curious, I see where they have two different machines and wasn't sure which one would be best, the one is $499. Also do you have to use their paper?? I am not really sure how this all works but it looks like it would be a neat item to have. Thanks in advance.:goodvibes

There are two different kinds of cricuts. One is big - one is small ---
if you're new to scrapping, I would highly recommend NOT getting the big one - I have the little one and use it all the time.

DO NOT pay $499 for either! Check Wal-Mart, Michaels, Joann's and Hobby Lobby for the machines - watch for sales.

My mom found the little one for $119 @ WM on Black Friday. I still haven't seen it that cheap since then. $169 is pretty avg for the little one.

The carts run about $60-$90 - but we here at the DIS boards are constantly on the look out for cart sales. HL just had a sale for buy 2 for $99 - this is considered a great buy! Sometimes you can find them for 50% off. Fair warning - the Cricut is a true addiction. I would recommend not starting off w/ the Disney Carts (Princess, especially) They are kinda confusing w/ all the layering/ etc. Start off w/ fonts first and play around w/ those and get comfortable w/ the machine.

Go to the CRICUT website. On their message board they have a forum dedicated to each cart so you can see what people have done with them.

Have fun!

Hi There, I was looking at all your wonderful pages, I was wondering where you find all your cut outs, etc, that you use for your pages, they are really awesome and amazing, wasn't sure if you buy them or make them, they are great. Thanks in advance. :goodvibes

Thank you! I made them on the Cricut. I have the smaller machine, and I can't scrap without it! I have a thread here with all my LOs so far that explains which Cricut carts I used for each LO here, if you want more info:

Thank you all for your awesome advice. You are all great.:goodvibes Thank you for the advice on the machine, I was just going to buy the small one on the cricut website and it is $250 but it sounds like if I go to a store I can get it for cheaper, so will be sure to check out Wal-Mart and Michael's. I look forward to getting advice from all of you and hoping to be able to make some nice scrapbooks in the future.:goodvibes

Hi Ladies, I called our local Michael's and the only cricut machine they have is $299, so I am guessing they must have the larger one, so I did a search on walmart.com and this is what it showed me, so I just wanted to get your opinions on them, which one should I purchase, I do want one that will do the Disney stuff well. The fancier ones. Thanks in advance. You all have been so very helpful. :goodvibes

the larger cricut (Expressions) DOES do a better job w/ detail and small/tiny cuts. You can make characters/items as big as 12 inches (I think) - so if you're a teacher or ever make posters/signs for any reason, you'll want this for those purposes as well. The little Cricut cuts items up to 5 1/2 inches.

I have the little cricut and cannot do the princess/disney characters much smaller than 3-4 inches - otherwise, it won't cut the tiny details as well.

Just wanted you to be aware that you'll pay $349 for the Expressions - it does come w/ 1-2 carts to play around with - but the Disney Cart will be another $60-$80 or so...

If you can afford the bigger one - go for it and get it! I don't think you'll regret it. Both machines take/read all carts - so you won't lose out that way.

Do you have a local scrap book store w/ a crop night - I'm sure you could go and explore/play w/ one!

Here are some pages I've gotten done lately.

This is a standard photo that I bought of all the characters in front of the ship on CC. I brought both these papers on the cruise with me and had the characters sign them.
