Thanks! I'm kind of afraid of embellishing, as you can see. I'm so afraid I'll do too much and make it look tacky that I don't do any! I'm really hoping I can find a class or something.
OK - I need some picture taking tips. I am almost finished with my first scrapbook and tried to take some pictures of the layouts. They came out horrible! All fuzzy and I can't get them in good close up (either too close or too far). I have a digital Kodak if that helps. All of you ladies who have posted such great shots of your layouts, let me in on your secret!
I ordered some hawaiian style paper and it finally came today! I am not totally thrilled. I should have moved the larger pictured down just a bit, but then again I didn't want to cover up that pretty paper. After I took the pic of it I chalked the centers of each flower. Oh well
GOOFYGIRL - I like how you did the page....big pictures in the center get boring after a while! I like how it makes your eyes travel around the page....top, side, bottom -
i come on here to scrap-lift (steal ideas) and this is one i will be borrowing.
thanks!
It's a Disney theme album that I plan to put my recent trips in. (I hope they all fit).
Anyway, after much anxiety about actually cutting the paper and figuring out what I wanted I took the plunge and here it is....
Now only a zillion more pages to go, lol, but my journey has begun and it offical now... I am a scrapbooker.
Thanks!
Yes, this was taken last April (2005) just before Magical Express. We had Van transportation arranged for us and the "perks" they included were a grocery stop on the way there and a photo stop on the way back to the airport. We were actually on the other side of the highway leaving the "World". We had to do it VERY quickly as you are not really allowed to stop. Literally one snap for my family and one snap for the other family and we piled back into the van.
Thanks!! I have been searching for the perfect hawaiian style paper for weeks, then in the back of a magazine I found an add for a online store. They had the most incredible selection of tropical stuff.
I record the scrapbook show on DIY while I am at work. Last night I watched some from this week and saw this page. Most of the time I feel like the stuff on there is a little beyond either my skills or my supplies, but this looked doable. I'm really pleased with it. However, as you can see, there is an area on the bottom that needs something. Or at least I think it needs something because on the show this is where she put the page title. I have two stickers I am debating between but only because I can't think of anything else. If you have an idea for me please share!
Embellishments scare me, that Mickey sticker was a big step for me!
The page:
Inside some of the windows:
Sticker choice #1
Sticker choice #2 (this one has a clear background even though it looks white here.)
