Wedding Night and Arrival @ AKL
Cast:
Myself: Tony the Husband
My darling wife Liz
Our wedding was held in my backyard locally here in Orlando, we wanted a Disney wedding, but we just bought our first home together and wanted to have something special tying that into the wedding. The house has a large ¼ acre yard on a lake so it was a nice setting. We had the ceremony and reception there and then we were off to Disney World for the Honeymoon. The wedding reception lasted longer than I expected so we didnt leave until 10 10:30 pm. I bought my DW the bride pin ahead of time so that she could wear it on our trip to the hotel and throughout our visit; she bought me the groom pin at DTD the week before so I wore mine too. We arrived into the Animal Kingdom Lodge at about 11pm and used the valet parking and bell service for the luggage (being spoiled is great) We then went to check-in, the CM who checked us in however did not notice it was our honeymoon (even with the pins and partial wedding attire still being worn by Liz) and when he finally noticed on the computer that it was listed as a honeymoon he still didnt congratulate us, he was the only CM that didnt throughout our trip though so I am fine with that. We got a savanna view on the fourth floor overlooking a watering hole on the giraffe side, so off we went to go and see our accommodations. The rest of the staff of the lodge were great, they are all very nice and very helpful. The view from the balcony of the room was an amazing and I loved it. We didnt go out the first night because it was late and well it was the HONEYMOON! So off to bed and see you tomorrow for part 2 Adventures in Animal Kingdom.
