The Caribbean Beach Resort

Has anyone been there recently who can let me know what this resort is like. I have been to WDW before but I have never stayed at this resort and we will be staying there in mid-March.
Any likes/dislikes, suggestions and/or tips would be greatly appriciated.Thanks!

DH and I love CBR. We stayed in Trinidad North which is very close to the food court and main pool (I think it is considered a preferred locaton now and costs extra) but was also very quiet. We loved the hammocks on the beaches and the quiet pools. The main pool is a pirate fort and it has a slide - all the kids we saw seemed to be having a blast. Shutters (the sit-down rest.) is very good. We only ate at the food court twice because we spent most of our time in the parks, but that was nice as well. Bus transportation was fine - I think we waited once for about 15 minutes for a bus to MGM - but the rest of the time we were on a bus within 5 minutes of getting to the bus stop. CBR has the biggest rooms of any moderate resort - DH and I had a corner room with a king bed and we had plenty of room for everything. Enjoy your trip! You will love CBR.

It is a great resort for kids and adults. We stayed there a couple of years ago and we will stay there again. I am our resident travel agent at work for Disney and I have a family staying there over spring break for there frist trip. They are staying in a perferred room so they will be close to the main pool and food court.

It has such a Caribbean feel to it and lots of walking or running space.

We have stayed at CBR a few times and absolutely love it. I would request a water view (I think it costs extra, but well worth it). The last time we went, we were on the first floor right on the water (I forget which building it was) and in the morning my DH and DD 11 would walk out onto the beach and there would be turtles there each morning. One night we were in the hammock on the beach and could see some fireworks from Epcot's Illuminations.

It is just a great place. I am sure you will love it!

We were there in 2002 and it was wonderful. We stayed in Jamaica again because we like being in a more private, quiet area, but we were located close enough to the bridge that our trip to OPR was only about a 3 minute walk. We loved the walk though, it is a scenic, tropical walk and we would miss that if we stayed at martinique or Trin North.

I'm with Hulabird. We were in Aruba and loved the walk to the food court. I want to go back!!!

We stayed there last June (split our stay between here and AKL) and my family loved this resort. One thing I lliked about the room was that it had a curtain by the sink, so that someone could get dressed while someone was in the shower.
