At the Cape Cod DIS meet these burgers drew rave reviews and I promised everyone I would post the recipe! Not for the cholesterol concious

3 pounds regular ground beef (none of that 90% lean stuff! I used 80-20)
4 tablespoons butter, softened (I go a little higher, a stick for every two pounds)
1 Onion, finely chopped (I leave this out, I have tried it both ways and I think it is way better without it, I like onion)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley
1 tablespoon worcestshire sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (I left this out for the meet burgers because I ran out!)
a pinch of cayenne pepper
Salt (don't be shy with it!) and freshly ground pepper

1. Preheat grill to medium high
2. In a large bowl mix all the ingredients
3. Form into 12 4 oz patties. A flatter burger will cook evenly and faster than a ball like burger. ( I have found this to be very true. the thinner the burger the juicier it ends up)
Grill 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium well. (I usually add a slice of cheese at the first flip)

Enjoy!

I'm going to have to try this. It sounds very YUMMY:teeth:

Maybe this recipe should be on the wish board? (heeheehee)

half and half.....beef and critter?????? the rest of this sounds fantastic

Stumbled on this recipe this evening. Already had decided to have hamburgers on the grill for dinner. Decided to give these a shot. They are so good. Never had luck with juicy burgers at home. This is definitely a keeper. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

These sound awesome and I will be sure to try them soon!

BTW, I have found that if you poke a little hole in the center of the burger before you grill it, it helps it to cook more evenly. (I guess it can cook from the center OUT as well as the perimeter IN??) The hole usually closes up during cooking, so no one will ever know it's there unless they saw the burgers before they were cooked!

We had these last night, and they were delicious!!!

I left out the onion, but used the dijon, and didn't up the butter amount. We also brushed the buns with the melted butter before we grilled them. The only problem was, the burgers flared up like crazy!!!

Good stuff! :) :)
