yesterday I took the dd's to the Bronx Zoo we saw the Congo exhibit -- while you're looking at the gorillas, you're providing the gorillas with their entertainment as they look back at you. we also went to the monkey house, and saw the sea lions (they were swimming in their pool the whole time -- all we really saw was noses), elephants and giraffes. took the Bengali Express -- a monorail ride through a habitat of Asian animals. wanted to go to World of Birds and the Butterfly collection, but we ran out of time. we had a great time.

A couple of weeks ago I took dd and some friends to the St. Louis zoo. Some of the exhibits were really neat. One of the monkeys liked to startle the visitors by throwing his arm up against the glass all of the sudden. It was so funny to watch people jump back. The monkey must have thought so too because he'd wait a little while and then do it again.

I like going to the Bronx Zoo too. The Bengali Express is fun. Were there any gorilla babies? The last time we were there there were 5 babies what entertainment it was, but your right, they were looking at us the same way we were looking at them :)

Disney does ruin other parks for me though, I notice things are not as clean and the attention to detail just isn't there.

I think the Bronx Zoo is the best!!! I love the butterfly exhibit! I love it all!!

Goodness, you're bringing back some great memories. I used to LOVE the Bronx Zoo and I don't usually like any kind of zoos! ...do NOT ask me about Animal Kingdom or Busch Gardens...

there are babies all over the zoo -- they have signs pointing out the babies. one of the gorilla moms and her baby were taking a nap -- right up against the glass that separated the gorillas from the humans.

oh i saw the bronx zoo baby ads they had in the subway! haha they were so cute. :D
