The Broadway show thread where we discuss all things Broadway

Glass slippers are so back.

Anyone else looking forward to Cinderella on Broadway? We have tickets for next month. Seeing it in previews. I am very excited.

I just don't like Laura Osnes. I think it goes back to watching her on "You're The One That I Want".

never watched that show and did not see the "Grease" revival, so I don't have any preconceived ideas about her. Though I did hear she's been good in other roles.

I saw her in Anything Goes. But she was sharing the stage with Sutton so I really didn't notice her.

That was her? I was too busy watching Sutton Foster and Joel Grey to pay attention.

Actually Hope is somewhat of a bland role overshadowed by other characters, and there was a lot of star power on that stage, but as I thibk about it, she was good in the part.

I'm seeing Annie this weekend, and I got tickets to Matilda for Christmas! Can't wait. :thumbsup2

Loved Annie. The girl playing Annie was fantastic and Miss Hannigan was perfect. The dancing was very good but very different from the way the original production was choreographed.

LOVE Katie Finneran. She is the only reason I want to see Annie. She won a Tony for her role in Promises, Promises. Her Marge Macdougall was fantastic.

Any place to get summer discount tickets? thanks!

DD and I are going to see Priscilla Queen of the Desert, it's premiering its tour here this weekend. I am so excited!! Hopefully DD can stay awake, she has 4 performance of Beauty and the Beast this weekend, and then we head straight to Priscilla after the last show!

I saw original cast (well, minus Alex Wong) and just loved it. Very much worth the price.

We saw the Mystery of Edwin Drood in NYC a few weeks ago. It was really good! Wasn't sure I was going to like it, but it's a comedy with audience participation. Definitely worth seeing.:thumbsup2

Drood. You can't really spoil the ending because the audience chooses the ending.

Dh bought Pippin tickets today.

OMG OMG OMG!!!!

there will be a revival of Pippin on Broadway this spring!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I saw this yesterday when you posted. Pippin is my husband's favorite. I got a email for a pre-sale, but the tickets are full price :headache:. I'm going to wait and keep my fingers crossed for a discount because I'd like to bring my kids to see it too.

Oh, I loved Mary Poppins. So sorry it's closing. 6 years is a very good run, though.

We loved Mary Poppins, sorry to see it go before I can see it again.
