The boring FW pool...

I don't care where you take your dog, as long as you clean up after it.

Pool hopping doesn't offend me personally, but I'd advise against taking your comments over to the resorts board. People get very snippy about it. Their main complaint is that people visiting from other resorts take up chairs that should be available for those paying to stay at that resort. Often the pools are crowded and there is no place to sit.

Did you get wristbands at the Beach Club?

I thought they shut SAB to DVC pool hopping quite a while ago, back when BCVs opened.

As you can see, I like to read all the controversial threads. :) If this gets locked, will it be a first for the Camping board??

How could I not reply?

I loved it when you could pool-hop! I know this upsets people who haven't been going to WDW since the beginning. It brings out a sense of entitlement in people. In the old days, we would go to the Poly OR we would swim at the FW beach.

Trlboy, Because we are nice people, and have a dog, we have kids on our site all the time. We have logged many nights at FW and have never had Fellow campers try to feed are dog chocolate. But It is sad that a dog walking from loop to loop with his owner, not making any noise, or someone Pool Hoping can ruin someone's vacation.
I guess you missed my point. Simply put, from your original post it looks as if you could care less about what the rules are for pool hopping. It doesn't matter that you did not pay to stay at a resort with a better pool, you intend to use that pool anyway and as long as you don't get caught, then you're OK. And what about the paper that you signed about not pool-hopping? Just blow it off? If that's your ethics, then more power to you. I just don't think many people that are on this board would agree with your stance on pool-hopping.

Trlboy,I guess you missed my point. A dog walking from loop to loop with his owner, not making any noise, or someone Pool Hoping What does it Hurt. When we go to the other Pool we just use the pools no chairs and the Bar then we leave. So are you one of those people that have a copy of the rules you know everyone of them and you just sit and wait for someone to break one. Then you will call Frontdesk tell. Boy get a life.

Gillian you are correct SAB has been closed to even DVC members for quite awhile but they never really did a good job of upholding this. Apparently they are now checing everyone from what I was told by our friends that just returned from staying there.

Folks if someone it doing something that does not impact you life or vacation why worry about life is to short.

StillH2O, It doesn't hurt when only one person does it BUT when another person sees you do it, they all of a sudden think it's acceptable for them to do it - and so on and so on. Pretty soon there's total anarchy and everyone's doing it (a bit of an exagerration) but that's probably why the rules were established to begin with - because they were becoming burdensome. (Remember - every time Disney needs to hire a new person to police something such as this or work extra time to clean up messes made by animals walking in non-pet loops, prices increase for us consumers!)

Don't flame others because they want the rules to be followed.

Rules are there for a reason.
Do you ever go over the speed limit? Just curious :earsgirl:

Just a note that I have called and will continue to call to the office when I see infractions taking place. John

Do you find that this makes for a relaxing vacation? I think if it were me I would feel more uptight. You might want to let it go next time and see how it feels.

Hmmm... didn't realize I would stir things up with my initial post. Having been a resort guest twice this year already I didn't know that resort guests frowned upon pool-hopping or took it so seriously. I certainly didn't give it a second thought when I was there. Also, there were times when I took the kids down to the pool while dh stayed in the room. I did not take a room key with me because I didn't think I would need it. After all, dh was in the room and I wasn't planning on buying anything at the bar. I guess it's a good thing I wasn't asked for id -- I wouldn't have had it even though I was a guest there:)

I have been to Fw well over 100 time and dogs going from loop to loop I have never seen any anarchy but a dicount bin at Walmart thats anarchy. Are Dog does not walk he rides in a Doggie stroller and we carry bags for is waste.

People here on the DIS know "the rules" better than the Disney CMS, LOL!

if he gets up, we'll all get up, it'll be anarchy!

Just had to chime in, off topic. That is my all time favorite movie line. The Breakfast Club! Gotta love it!

Can you take him to a pool at another resort in his little stroller?

(my 7th grade English teacher would be having a 'feeled' day with this and other postings by this poster! :rotfl: )

Y'all may want to take a trip over to the resorts board - this poster is trying their best to convince everyone over there that pool hopping is a great idea, too. Fascinating...

KCMiller, Is this a Discoussion Board or does it make you feel better about your life by putting others Down?

And do feel better arguing with just about everyone on 2 different boards for doing something that is CLEARLY against WDW rules, regardless of how much money and time you've spent there?

No difference in my eyes.
