Next thur. night my girlfriend and I are leaving the kiddos with the husbands and spending the night at the Borgata. Has anyone stayed there yet? Do you like the Casino? I'm wondering how expensive the tables are...I like $5 ones, not $25 ones.

Thanks.

DH and I stayed there two nights during Thanksgiving weekend last year. We went to AC to see Simon and Garfunkel.

It's a beautiful hotel, with very nice rooms. Some of the restaurants aren't too expensive. They recommend reservations for the high end restaurants.

Sorry, I can't help with the tables. I only played slots, and didn't do too much of that.

Have a great time.

Nice place. Still can't hold a candle to Vegas but very nice for AC. You will be hard pressed to find $5 table games there. Usually they start at $15. You can skip over to Harrahs or Trump Marina for lower table games or you could spring a buck fifty and hop on a jitney to take you to any of the other casinos. If you play poker they have a very nice room there.

I agree with Big Dude, you'll be hard pressed to find any $5 tables at Borgata. Maybe at 9AM when the tables are empty, but at night, most likely you'll be looking at mostly $25 tables with a few lower limit ones, usually the $15 mentioned, but they are usually packed. On my last trip to Vegas, it was hard to find a $5 table in any of the Strip properties, so they are becoming rarer and rarer around.

That sounds fun!

We visited the Borgata during the day (saturday?) and I think they had $5 tables. It was quiet then. Maybe Thursday night won't be too bad.

DH usually plays craps at Trump plaza. On a Saturday night the lowest tables are $10. It gets busy there but I don't know how it compares to the borgata.

Sign up for a card when you're there. I did, played slots for maybe 2 hours, and we got 2 comped nights! They didn't even limit me to weekdays, but they didn't have a saturday until September so we're going on a thursday & friday in August.

The Borgata is really nice! We ate in one of the restaurants, of course it was overpriced but very good.

Everything is new, and it's fun being in a different casino.:sunny:

My friend got a comp for a $39 room if we use it during the week. We probably won't get down there until close to 10 after getting the kids settled, so we'll probably play mostly Friday morning and afternoon. I've always liked Bally's Wild Wild West.

I'm excited to see the Borgata though, it looks so pretty on the outside!

minniepumpernickel, what restaurant did you eat in? We were thinking of trying one, since it's DH's birthday. And of course, if you're spending money on food, you're not throwing it (away) in a slot machine! Seriously, we're not big gamblers so we like to plan other activities.

We'll be there tomorrow! We stayd in a room there a month or so ago. Really nice rooms. The Casino is nice too. Like said above - don't count on $5 tables. Although maybe early in the morning you may. Otherwise enjoy!
