The Boathouse Attire

I would like to try Boathouse for lunch during our upcoming August trip, but was just wondering if typical park attire would be OK for lunch. I know it's a signature restaurant, but was curious if typical shorts / t-shirt and sneakers would be OK for lunch.

Park attire is fine. Even at the Disney signatures, shorts, sneakers and tee shirts are not against the dress code (unless the tee shirt is offensive or the shorts are torn cutoffs).

Exactly. What you propose would even be fine for dinner, much less lunch.

The Boathouse has a VERY "laid-back" vibe.

It is not a Signature restaurant in the California Grill,etc. "mold".

I hope you go and come back and give us a review! Everything I've heard so far is very positive. It doesn't fit with our plans for July, but I'll be booking it for other trips I'm sure.

We wore our t-shirts, shorts, and sneakers when we stopped for lunch after a morning at DHS. We felt very comfortable there. Our food was very good but my DH said for the price if he had realized there was a different menu (one laid on the table) than they handed us with sandwiches he would have ordered the steak sandwich for $20 instead of the $38 steak. I wanted the cedar plank salmon so it didn't matter to me but just so you know if you are going at lunch they do have a separate lunch menu that is less expensive.

I would never wear a t-shirt there. I'd wear a polo, or collared short sleeved shirt. Some people don't care if they look slovenly.
