We are staying in a 2 Bedroom Villa on the Boardwalk in January. What do you think of the resort and rooms? Is there any request I should have? Do you know if we can get in room babysitting? We are traveling with 2 toddlers. We have only been to disney once before and never stayed on site.

We stayed there once and loved it. We love all the DVC resorts that we have tried. OKW, BCV, VWL and BWV. You will be able to get more info by asking your question on the DVC Board where my fellow members will answer any questions you have.

You will love the resort and the setting is wonderful. There is a great pool area and a little playground area for the kids. Plus the Boardwalk is one giant playground for everyone with entertainment at night. You can walk to all kinds of restaurants and take the boat or walk to Epcot and MGM. There is a great bakery (love the cinnamon yummies) and ice cream parlour right outside the entryway to the Boardwalk. One of the best restaurants in all of WDW is the Flying Fish. A little on the pricey side but excellent. Sorry I can't help you with the babysitting question but I'd be surprised if they don't have it available.

:) Just returned on 7/3 from our 4 night stay in a 2bedroom villa...I love this resort! I've stayed in a standard view studio & a preferred view 1-bedroom. This stay we had a 2-bedroom preferred view, 1st floor room, near the childrens pool and playground. Although I no longer have toddlers, I saw many familes enjoying them. I loved sitting out on the patio in the am having my coffee and the 2-bedroom gave us plenty of room to spread out! I always hate to leave :(
As far as childcare, I've read in my Passporter book that they do have 3 agencies that offer in-room babysitting.
Kindercare, Fairy Godmothers and All About Kids are listed in thier book. Email me if you don't have a Passporter book and I can give you the phone #'s and you can call and check them out.
There is also some day/Evening childcare clubs nearby at the Beach Club(the Sandcastle Club), The Dolpin(Camp Dolphin)and I think the Boardwalk has one (The Harbor Club)but is only available on Sunday's and Wednesdays....not too sure about them though. You can check with Disney about them.
I'm sure you'll have fun at the Boardwalk!

We returned just a week ago - some of us from BWV and some from the Swan. Both were wonderful.

One request to make at BWV - since you have two young children - is to be located not too far from the elevators. At least, that's how we felt with a 2-yr-old in tow. Our first room assignment was REALLY far down the hall and as soon as I saw that I knew it would be a problem lugging the little one after a long day at the park. I immediately phoned and was quite lucky to be reassigned to a room closer to the elevators.

I know we were lucky to get a different room - it was early afternoon and we requested immediately even before moving one piece of luggage. The CMs were very, very kind to find us something closer.

To be on the safe side, request a room near the elevators.

Thanks for the advice! Especailly about the elevators. I'm not to interested in having to carry an extra 40 pounds down the hall after a long day.
