I have read and participated (I sadly admit) in a lot of ugly threads today also. I hope people will go back to being nice again soon.
Sometimes I read some of these posts and it amazes me at the amount of sarcasm and just plain rudeness that comes out of folks when they feel so strongly about a certain topic. To my ever lasting shame...I am guilty too and I would like to apologize.

I agree. I did not vote for Obama (no flames please) but I am very proud to be an American today and my heart goes out to Obama and his family. I am hopeful that he will lead our country back to a place where we are on top again. That is all I can hope for as an American.

I wonder how many out there type out all of their frustrations and then realize they will be flamed and change what they initially said...I am sure this happens a lot. Honestly I can say I have only edited for spelling errors...and this is probably why I get flamed all of the time!

I think there are always people who come to threads and make them "ugly"...if someone's having a bad day, it makes them feel better to try to hurt other people's feelings. I've realized that a few times lately.
And, there is the fact that people are mad and craby about things that took place today.
And, many people here do not share the same ideals as others...of course there's always going to be "conflicting sides" but people sometimes do it in the meanest way they can- goes to show you that "if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all" has gone to POT in today's world...
people can disagree with out fighting about their disagreements! If they can't, then they're childish. Sure, some beliefs and ideals are strong, but be respectful towards others and they won't bite you in the tail down the road!

I wrote at least three posts that I deleted after giving them a few moments thought. I wish more people would do that. Write it down, get it off your chest, and then punch DELETE instead of POST. It will make you feel sooooo good and save another's person's feelings.
