The Board In A Rut

Is it me, or does the board seem to be a rut? Like there's no interesting threads...everyone seems kinda down...like DISing is becoming kinda boring...what's happened!! Does anyone else feel this way? Or am I on my own on this one!

I am 2 weeks away from graduating college so insanely busy is an understatement for me at the moment. Once that is done I should be back on more. Oh and when Shelby comes back.

I think it's fine. There have been plenty of interesting threads. Sure, this is a hard time of year (school-wise) for a lot of the older people to get on, but still, it's enjoyable.

Actually I do feel like it's in a rut. There are only like two threads right now that I'm interested in posting on. I'm so bored that I'm trying to think of an exciting thread to post.

Okay, I wasn't going to say this because I didn't want to sound rash, inconsiderate, or like an idiot -- but I think I'm gonna say it lol.

I know you all really really like Shelby (Sparx) and that you all respect her very much. I respect her and I think she is a good member of the DIS but to be honest...I don't think she was the glue to the teen board. Nothing has changed here except people wanting it to be changed to then say that with Sparx being banned, the teen board is going to waste. Yes, we all know many people here miss her and it has been said various times. It's okay to dislike that she was banned - she has A LOT of friends here. Just I think it's starting to become overkill...all this "the boards are not as fun because Shelby is gone".

Like I said before, nothing on the teen board has changed. I think it's just that this board has been extremely political over the past few days...the board seems to take turns in "themes" -- sometimes it's sad, happy, Disney, literary, recreational, and recently political. Many people can't relate to politics so much as things like Disney and that is probably why it seems down.

Also, by saying that the teen board seems like a less than active place because one person is not here is saying that the teen board is run by only one person -- isn't the teen board active because of everyone who posts here? I like to think of the teen board as a family of teens who share a love of the Mouse.

It's okay to be upset that Sparx is banned and not here to post...but is it okay to keep saying that the teen board is going to waste because of it? What about everyone else here?


Please, I REALLY don't want to sound like a bad person - I repsect Sparx as much as the next person -- but this is all I'm seeing around here lately.
