This movie comes out on November 20th and I've never been more excited for any other movie. It's based off of the Michael Lewis book, "The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game". The book is about the evolution of the LT position in football, but you don't care about that. What's more important is the other component to the book. The story of Michael Oher. Oher now plays in the NFL for the Baltimore Ravens. How he got there is the truly inspirational story. Born to a crack-addict mother, he had 12 siblings and his father left him before he was even born and died while he was in his teens. Oher was taken in by "Big Tony" who ended up enrolling him at a private Christian school along with another boy. After being taken in by another family, the Tuohy family, they housed him, fed him, and bought him new clothes. Eventually they ended up adopting him. Oher had 0.9 GPA going into the school, who took a huge risk in allowing him admission. He had attended 11 schools in nine years, failed first and second grade, and didn't go to school for quite a few months when he was ten. He ended up getting his GPA high enough to where he could play football. That is when the man who runs the Army HS game each year "discovered" him and basically compared him to one of the greatest football players ever because of his size and athletic ability. Eventually a few scouts came to watch him practice... Then historic head coaches made their way to Memphis to watch him play. Eventually he got a full ride scholarship to Mississippi where he graduated in four years and made the NFL.

The movie will be about the Tuohy family taking him in and his journey from living with a mother of 13 to becoming a highly prized NFL draft prospect. I am absolutely stoked for this movie to come out. The book was flat-out amazing and I expect the movie to be a 10/10. It's starring Sandra Bullocks, Tim McGraw, and is directed by John Lee Hancock.

My dad is a fan of Oher, and actually is an extra in the movie.
(Whether he'll be in it is a mystery :P)

It actually looks good. Is it going to be a limited release thing, though?
