The birds are back!

Even though it's hot outside, the migrating birds are back. Every year during the spring and fall, we get these dark brown with speckles birds that are passing through. They are so fun to watch. By the hundreds, they start at one end of my yard and mosey the the other side looking for bugs. Then they will all take off, wheel around and start all over again. Talk about being thorough! I've only seen flocks of about 20 so far, somethings up. It seems a little early to see them yet.

Early winter is right!!! I live in Minnesota and the high today was in the upper 50's.

It is so crazy that it is this cold already.

Yay for the birds! I love the outdoor birds and we have lots of feeders, houses and bird baths on our property. We also have indoor birds...I have 2 of the 'tiels on my shoulder now...they love to DIS too!

I love to watch the birds! The sparrows were arguing over feeder space yesterday. We're only getting to the mid 80's today which is unusual this time of year.

Earlier this summer, we had white egrets, maybe cranes or herons. They're the ones that sit on the cows. Anyway, we had several that frequented our yard for a week or two. It was so neat.
