I memory serves, and this is from WDW in Jan 2010, the cold temps played havoc with the plants in the parks and resorts. Seems that after a particularly cold snap the grounds crew were constantly busy tearing out and replanting entire areas of all sorts of flora and fauna. Makes me wonder if they now are using hardier varieties.
