Hey guys!

My friend and new DVC member was asking about the number of people in a one bedroom vs a two bedroom. She has a small 4 yr old, so no crib, but thats alot of extra points for a preschooler. I told her to come check out the topic here because I had seen so much debate over it.

Well she read the debates and decided to call and ask. Here's what she was told (and the CM even went to ask before telling her this).......

Its a reccommended occupency number. They wont provide extra linens or anything, but if one of her kids sleeps on the floor, its fine with Disney. Afterall she is an owner. She did throw in the disclaimer that 20 frat boys in a studio would be frowned upon.

so there you go.

I was told the same by our guide who sold us DVC. I know it is a huge debate topic here (and irrelevant to me as my family is 4!) but our guide actually said that to save points when traveling with grandparents we could rent two studios OR a one-bedroom and the kids could "camp out." Despite the heated debates here, at least one Disney employee seemed to think it "no big deal.

Now don't you all yell at me... When I travel with my parents we get a 2-bedroom, less due to "morality" than need for sanity!

Unfortunately due to the fact that occupancy posts always turn into heated debates on the DVC Board, the Webmasters of the DIS have deemed it to be a taboo topic here to discuss. Please feel free to visit the DIS Debate Board where the subject has been debated in the past.

Thank you all!! :)
