We made breakfast for 7:30 and we were in the park by half past 8 after making a reservation at the Hunter's Grill for 6pm that night.
First stop was Buzz, I was last again which was to remain that way until nearly the end of the holiday when I eventually beat DD2 much to her disgust! We did teacups (fast became a challenge to find the fastest teacup for DS) twice and then Dumbo
We headed into the shops before the heavens opened around 9:45
then we made our way round to Frontierland and Big Thunder Mountain. The rain had stopped so we decided to try Salon Mickey for the first time, CM's were very nice in here and as it was our first time we were given a copy of the rules, there was only one other family in there, CM told us to take 2 pastries each and she replenished them as we were choosing, my three chose orange juice or water and I grabbed a lovely cup of coffee. DS took some photographs in here (or so I thought) but I can't find them at the moment, it's a lovely place to just sit and relax and once replenished we decided to head back to Frontierland and go and watch Goofy's Summer Camp.
I hadn't read anything about this before I went (which was to be my downfall with the Stars and Cars Parade!) so I was pleasantly surprised, the theatre took a while to fill up but it's a good show and I joined in with all the actions, highly embarrassing my three but what the heck!!
Everyone after the show seemed to be heading for Woody's Roundup so we decided to ride the train to Discoveryland and see what the times were for Star Tours, turned out to be a 5 minute wait so on we all went.
Always enjoy this no matter how many times I go on it, it was made all the more fun by a little boy sat in front of us who wasn't sure exactly what the ride was (his Mum wasn't sure either) and couldn't work out if they went upside down or not - watching his reactions during the ride was just as entertaining as the ride itself!
Nautilus was next on our list as we hadn't done this the past few years, nothing exciting but we really couldn't remember much of it and we kept saying last year we would look around again and never did.
We had a browse in Constellations, earmarked a few things we wanted to buy but decided to have a couple of big spending sprees rather than lots of little ones.
We headed back to the hotel for what was going to be our regular rest up, eat and nap time, decided to be lazy and get the bus back.
We ate in the Hunter's Grill that night, lovely buffet and something for everyone including the veggies! We all went up for seconds (and sometimes thirds) and had a taster of most of the desserts and yes I got a banana! We handed over our Half Board Plus Vouchers and as DS had an extra drink we only had 3.50 euros to pay before leaving and heading to the park.
This time we walked as we wanted to browse the shops in the Disney Village and generally just soak up the atmosphere, as we were here for 10 days we wanted to take our time instead of rushing round like headless chickens and then ending up so tired we couldn't enjoy everything.
Once in the parks we made our way to Adventureland where we saw Aladdin and Abu making their way for photo opportunities, we walked around Adventure Isle eventually making our way to Pont Suspendu, I apologise here if you are ever on this bridge with my DS, he makes it hard for anyone to cross with his constant jumping and running (he's not the only one though and he is considerate enough to make sure there are no little ones on there) but it normally takes us ages to get across mainly for laughing!
Now this particular night the joke was on him! He has previously in Disney been pointed out and the name 'Jonas' whispered, we've just laughed it off as although with his hair shorter there is a slight resemblance most of the time we can't see it but on this holiday it happened 4/5 times, this was the first time! We had gotten almost to the other side of the bridge when a man (Spanish I think) stopped DD2 and said something to her, all she caught was 'brother' and she said 'Yes' and laughed thinking he was asking if that was her brother! WRONG!!! The next thing the man has legged it back across the bridge (so funny!) to two young girls (8/9 years of age), next thing they come legging it across the bridge shouting 'Jonas' - DD2 finally figured it out that they thought DS was Joe Jonas and he panicked and we all legged it down the steps as fast as we could, where we collasped giggling in a heap!
DS and DD2
After all that excitement we decided to head into Fantasyland for Pinnochio but discovered that this was only open from 3pm - 10pm, so rode it quickly before it closed, Snow White was closed (10am - 6pm) so we decided to get a drink at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour and wait for the parade and fireworks.
Didn't take any pictures as I'd got lots last year that I felt I just wanted to sit back and really watch although I did video the fireworks towards the end of the holiday. We then joined the many people leaving the parks and walked back to the hotel jumping into bed around half past 12.
