The Big Announcement Tomorrow??? What is it???

We watched part of it, got bored and went to lunch. Found out we didn't miss much when we got back. I can't believe that anyone would be interested in seeing another guest's memorable moment posted onto Cinderella's castle. I think they have missed the boat on this one.

I think that even I overestimated what they would announce. Who besides me does not want to see a bunch of people projected onto the castle wall?

I was particularly entertained by the statistician who reported on the demographics of their survey. In fact, I could not tear my eyes away from the numbers that danced like chocolate-covered sugarplums before me. I image that the behind-the-scenes planning for this new brainstorm sounded like the following.

CM1 - "What can we do which will cost the minimum amount of money on our part, but we can tout as the most wonderful new feature for our upcoming celebration?"

CM2 - "Remember those old projector machines that were put into storage a year ago?..."

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Love the comments, :lmao:....and totally agree, of course. They hyped this up, for THAT? Awful idea. Definitely don't want to see anyone else's family projected on the castle. UGH

I wasn't impressed at all...I would have liked to have heard the following:

1. "Disney begins construction of hotel & DVC project at National Harbour"
2. "Greece will be coming to Epcot with a film presentation, a Hercules dark ride and the restaurant, "The Moonspinners"
3. We're building something (anything!) that's new & original at Magic Kingdom...and it will NOT include a Meet & Greet.
4. Hollywood Studios will soon be home of brand new original D-ticket attraction, "Nightmare Before Christmas" dark ride.
5. We're re-opening "The Adventurer's Club" at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

I guess I can still continue to hope, but highly doubt I make it to the next "big news" event held live via the web!

Man, I wish you were the one making the announcement!:goodvibes Much better than theirs'. Fine with the theme, but nothing else exciting and it is MK's 40th anniversary next year. They could have done a lot better!:guilty:

Wow, I for one, can't wait to take a picture of my picture being projected on the castle wall. :sad2:

"Lordy, Lordy... the Magic Kingdom's 40"! I thought for sure there would've been some mention of that for next year. I agree... this is lack luster... the Castle turned into a Cake for the 25th was a celebration, although I wouldn't want to see that happen again!

...zzz....zzz....

They really should learn from OLC (Tokyo Disney) on how to do promos instead of doing these "let's throw them a bone" promos... Geez...

I got the email about this yesterday, and immediately deleted it as "nothing". Now I see that was the big "surprise". Oh well.:confused3
