the best way to spend 33 points...

Well, after booking all of my vacations, we have 33 points left over. I will be booking them into my 2009 points but have already planned on moving my 2009 points into my 2010 for a big vacation that year. I can't move those 33 points with them so they have to be used before June 1 2010, right? (I have June UY) We will be trying for a summer 2010 big vacation using 3 yrs of points.

I already have a few vactions coming up til January 2009. My DH made me vow that I would not ask for a vacation in 2009 at Disney so we could do our big one. But we will have these points that we HAVE TO use up. AKV is my home resort. I would love to do a quick girls only trip with my DD's, but airfare would cost more than anything and my AP's expire during my January trip so we would need tickets for the parks.

I am not oppsoed to renting them out for transfer only since 33 points will not let you stay there for long. Any idea's would be great!

Since they are current UY points I would consider a tranfer........you should be able to find someone wanting the points and it would be far easier then rentinal a night out. Not sure about this but there may be a place where you can donate them...........I thought I reads about doing this somewhere???

If you already have a trip planned, why not extend by a day or two?

I have the same problem but with 31 points.

I tried moving to another resort that cost more points, but it was booked, but I am on waitlist.

I can't extend my vacation because I already bought airline tickets and we are limited on vacation days from work.

I am hoping maybe one of the short stays with Interval might work out.

Has anyone doen these short stays?

Why not a trip to VB with your DDs? If you could go in Sept., Oct., or Nov., of 2008, then you could stay in an Ocean View Inn room for 3 week nights. My DH and I did this in Sept. last year and it was AWESOME! No park tickets required and we had a blast! If you aren't interested, then I would try to rent them.

p.s. Just noticed you have an anniversary in Oct.....you could go to Vero with DH to celebrate!

That would be great but we are heading to Disney in Oct, just me and DH, going agian in Dec, and again in Jan. Extending them won't work since we are already doing long weekends in Jan and Oct and going for 8 days in December. I would love to extend that one but our resort has been full forever.

I wonder if my DH could work at home a few days and I could stay there alone in the World to take pictures!! I'd even stay at OKW !

If any of your 'trips for 2' is in a studio, use the points to upgraed to a 1 BR for all or part of the trip. Better than not being able to use the points. Or you use the points for one of the many exchange resorts in N.E.

If you are thinking of donating your points please consider me as an option. I would greatly appreciate any help. We are taking a trip Aug 3-6, and looking for an affordable but magical stay.
