The Best thing(s) I ate at F&W this year was...

So what was your favorite items from this years food and wine festival at epcot? I had 3 things I really liked that I could eat/drink a lot more of...

1. The seared mahi mahi w/steamed rice, coconut lime sauce from Brazil
2. The shrimp taco from Mexico
3. dragonberry colada from the caribbean kiosk

Germany: Nurnberger Sausage in Pretzel Roll (By far my very favorite)

Mexico: Ribeye Tacos

Argentina: Grilled Beef Skewer (without Chimichurri Sauce) and Boniato Purée

Drink:

Italy: Fantinel Prosecco

My top 3 best foods were-
1- Coq au Vin at France. What a great taste treat and quite large.
2- Lobster and Scallop Fisherman's Pie at Ireland. Tasty and filling.
3- Belgian Waffle with Berry Compote at Belgium. Wow!

I had the Kalua pork slider at Hawaii and it was dry and underwhelming but a lot of people rave about it.

I completely agree with you about the Kalua Pork Slider.

I really liked the Lamington from Australia, the Boolgogi from South Korea and the Bunny Chow from South Africa.

I just wish I had room to sample more.

1) The Lobster and Scallop Fisherman's Pie in Ireland
2) The Lamb Chop in Australia
3) The Belgium Waffle in Belgium

Booking next years trip on Sunday!!!!

1. Cannoli in Italy. Had it twice. It was the only repeat item.
2. Boolgogi Beef in South Korea
3. Taste of Scandinavia
4. Cosmo Slush in France.

Singapore: Shrimp Cake on a sugar cane skewer with Singapore Noodle Salad

I didn't try much. My DH, though, LOVE LOVE LOVED the lettuce wrap pork thing at South Korea (I think it was)?? He still talks about it.

I had a coconut mojito that was fabulous. I didn't care for the greek griddled cheese - too smoky. I didn't like the pork slider at Hawaii...texture. DH loved the escargot - I was too full to try it (but my 4 year old loved it, too!).

I was very under whelmed by the pumpkin mousse. Good portion...but tasted almost freezer burned. And had a bitter after taste.

I wanted to try, but never got around to:

Tuna Poke
Seared Scallops
Fisherman's Pie

We liked the Seafood Pie, Shrimp tacos, and both lobster dishes at Hops and Barley. It was so crowded that day, we had to skip a lot of booths.

I was at Disney for the F & W festival and enjoyed many of the different foods the different countries had to offer. However I have to say one of the best things that I eat was at Hollywood Studios at the coffee shop next to the Sci-fi Restaurant. It was a carrot cake cookie OMG!!!! it was amazing....you wouldn't be disappointed if you get one.

DH & DS loved the tuna poke from Hawaii. They had it a couple of times.
