I would highly recommend Nike Celso Thong Flip Flops. I own 3 pairs and I have bought them for everyone in my family and they all love them. Most comfortable flipflops I have ever worn and I live in them here in FL.

On a four-day, I brought a pair of Teva "Olowahu" flip-flop-sandal type things that have the comfort of a flip flop but still pair nicely with a little skirt. I lived in them. Brought another pair of Teva sport sandals for the beach. And then I had a pair of brown strappy sandals for dinner, and black super-strappy for Palo. So four pairs total.
My husband had a pair of Tevas also, a pair of casual brown shoes for dinner, and a pair of black dress shoes for Palo.
LOL I don't know if that is possible, but your welcome to try. Over the years I've learned to pack light with things. I even found a pair of solid black water shoes. When I went to Fiji a few years ago, that was the only pair I took with me. They served as my day shoes, water shoes, and evening shoes for dinner.
I'm planning now on how to get 8 days worth of clothes in 1 bag and it be under 50lbs!?
Wow, Good luck with that. Surely it can be done. The overcharge is INSANE on luggage. I refused to ever charge it, unless they were dumb twits. To the everyday person, I was more than nice. I think in the years I worked at the counter, I charged once, as my supervisor was staring at me.
Well I plan to multi wear my bottoms, so that should save some room. If I was going to a warmer climate, I would say easy. But Ireland isn't that warm this time of the year. I'm also only taking two pairs of shoes. My comfortable slide ons for air travel and my water proof hiking boots to wear the rest of the time.
I do have to say that overweight charge, caused a KODAK moment in my family a few years back. My parents were going on a 14 day Alaska cruise. My mother has these two HUGE 30 +something inch suitcases. I told her they were too big and would weight too much. But I got told I didn't know what I was talking about. HMMM! Ok! I took them to the airport and it cost them $200 extra to send those suitcases. My Dad emploded!
