Okay, so I was looking at the cover of the "explore" section of my local newspaper (the section with comics and travel and stuff), and there was a picture of various italian sauces on the front page, and I was like "What the...? Sauce?" and as I said it, I thought of how you guys would think the way I say "sauce" is cool.

People with really heavy LI accents (such as Jewish people who live here, or Italian people who live here...no offense to people of those ethnicities), say it like SAW-ss. I don't say it like that all the time, but sometimes I do hear myself doing it. The one thing I do know I do is over-pronounce my Gs...as in Longgg Island. This makes it sound like it's one word too.
