I am always trying to justify my spending. What have y'all done that was worth every penny?
For me I guess the best Disney money I've spent is Lion King on Broadway. I'll never forget it.

paying rack rate for a savannah view at akl. i did know much about getting deals and IMO, was well worth it. the cast member gave us a perfect room and the animals were out all of the time. best money i ever spent!

Tickets to Cirque du Soleil......GREAT SHOW!

Staying at the Dolphin......$139/night is expensive for me, but the location was great. I'm afraid I may be spoiled to it!

I agree about Cirque, great show.
Actually, the tix were free because it was a business trip, just husband and I went. But I plan on going back and taking the kids, I know it will be worth the money.

Oh yeah, the autograph books were a very well spent $6. My kids are getting older but they still love to look through them

renting a boat for my family of 4. It just made us feel like rich people for a day. It was great to get close up views of the monorail resorts.

Also, staying at the GF on points even though it probably would have been cheaper to pay cash. That was my dream vacation!

Buying the Mickey frame with the splash mountain picture. I always put it off until next year because of the extra $ and I now vow to buy one every year. Love the look of these on my end tables.

Oh, good answer, I have to say one of my favorite things is our family picture from a flume ride from another park. The looks on our faces are priceless.

Paying WAY more than we've ever paid for a hotel room to have a tower room at the Contemporary. The view of the MK from our room, especially for our DD4, was worth the $$.

Also the $150 it cost me to get all my rolls of film developed once we got back from our trip. :D

Well , it's not really Disney related, but I'd say thus far, in preparing for my trip, the best $$ spent was sending my young puppy (9 months old) to the kennel he will be staying at for 12 days for a few weekends before leaving him there for the trip.

Knowing he is not scared there, and seeing how happy he seems to be getting dropped off there is a lot off my mind.

I always say best $$ in Dsiney is having a dinner in the castle!

For me it would be snacks in the parks. Those Mickey bars and Dole Whips add up but we budgeted plenty of money for them last time and they were just part of the magic! What could be better than taking a break in the shade in July and eating a Mickey bar? :)

Florida Resident Seasonal Passes--what a deal! $200 each and we have already park-hopped a total of 9 days in 4 months.

I'm not much of a souvenier person, but photos of DH and I at the parks are worth their weight in gold to me--we don't take photos ourselves and are happy to pay the $$ for the ones cast members take (or I should say, ***I*** am happy to pay the money--DH is more amused by my willingness to spend the $$ than, er, happy).

The $5.99 for the six pack of Budweiser that I bought for hubby before trying to convince him we should go on the Disney Cruise.
PS: It worked, see counter below

I learned how great it was to stop by a park for couple of hours - something I would have never done if I was paying for a day's admission or using a day off of a park hopper.

Having an AP really helped me get out of that commando mode of I must see "this many" attractions today to make it worth my while.

Our Annual Passes! We used a total of 18 days so far for park addmission, great room rates, 10% off a bunch of lunches and 10% off goodies at the World of Disney store! :Pinkbounc

Going to E Night. It was $12 each and we had a wonderful time just walking up to the rides without lines. We all agreed it was worth the extra money. We went to one park in the morning, rested up in the afternoon at the hotel, then went to E Night around 4:00. It was so much fun when we watched the fireworks and we knew we got to stay longer while most people had to leave the park.

Lately it seems like they are not doing this any more. I hope it comes back. We went in March last year.

For us the Disney pictures are worth the extra money. We always took our own pictures, but there is something a little more magical about those pictures. I finally broke down and bought the first one when we went to the Hoop dee do show, now we try and get one each trip. I bought one of those Multiple picture frames and every time I pass those pictures it brings a smile to my face. I plan on continuing to get those until I have a whole wall of pictures.

Close call.

1) First Disney Cruise, $2,050 for a family of four for the 7 night Eastern including everything. I swear it's almost double that now.

1a) $59 a night at Staybridge/LBV for a two bedroom suite.

The Disney Cruise prices are going up a lot, aren't they. We are a family of 4 and have a 7 night cruise booked for this September. I think after this year we will try doing the 4 night ones only because the 7 nights are getting to be so high!

Still, it has been money we are happy to have spent. The Disney Cruise is really special.

I am also glad that I spent the money for the Cinderella Breakfast, but we have also done the Princess Breakfast at Epcot and the Cinderella dinner at the GF. Those we could have skipped, but they were alright (just not the best money we have spent).

Spending the $$ to stay at AKL Concierge last trip and doing the Sunrise Safari. It was worth every penny to see the look on my sons face when he saw the giraffes! Priceless:D
Although it spoiled us as you can see from my counters..ha ha!:p
