I guess my plan was too good to be true. . . leave Tri Cities Airport on a 5:00 am Delta flight that got us to John Wayne airport at 9:00 am on Sunday, June 25--giving us basically a whole extra park day! Plus five nights at GCH. . .

. . . Delta has cancelled that flight, and are offering either a 6:30 that gets us there at NOON (barf) or a flight down Saturday evening getting us there at 8 pm or so. . .

I am leaning towards Saturday night, but of course, all of the Disney hotels are booked (if I wanted to spend that much, which I don't--I booked our nights 3 months ago!) I can stay at the Sheraton for points.

So, my question is. . . what is cab service like in the DLR area? How hard would it be to grab a cab, say at 6:45 am, so I can be checking into the GGH Sunday morning before the parks open? ( I know I can't get my room, but I couldn't get it with the (9:00 arrival, either. . .)

Maybe I can talk Delta into flying us first class. . .

You might want to check out mousesavers before you go booking a hotel or changing that flight. I saw a link on the first page saying something about recourse if Delta's pilots go on strike. Maybe you already knew about that all (I didn't til just now), but if you don't, now ya do. I'd hate to see you line up another hotel only to have them truly cancel your flight and you be stuck with paying for a night's hotel when you're not even there.

Sorry! :(

Definitely watch the strike news, but take the earlier flight if you have to stay with Delta. That way you have more leeway in case of delays/cancellations. You would hate to miss a day dur to waiting in the airport!

use yellow cab. there are lots of them in anaheim and they are very reasonable too,.The front desk can call one for you or write down their number when you exit the airport Sat night (in in the cars). We take them from the John wayne airport to the Grand Californian for 32.00 each way. So a hop between hotels will be less than 10.00.
