The best digi cam to use while at Disney World?

I want one that can take excellent pictures of fireworks and like SpectroMagic parade.
Before I've used a kodak and a canon powershot A680.
Both of the cameras produced not so great pictures.
my friend suggested the Olympus Stylus 720SW because it is also waterproof and may be good for water rides like Kali River Rapids and Splash mountain.
But, i'd just like to ask what you think and what kind of camera you use to get good shots of night parades and fireworks shows.

Check out the photography forum on DisBoards and you will get lots of help with this question.

The unfortunate answer is that for night parades and fireworks you will most likely need a dSLR to get really good photos. A dSLR is larger and more $$$ than the point&shoot cameras but it's capabilities are far greater as well.

I'm sure you'll get good answers there. Just a short note from my perspective. You can get excellent photos from the Canon PowerShot. It's often not about the equipment but how we use it that makes all the difference. I would aim to try to learn to get the most out of your Canon before you buy yet-another camera, that you might be just as disappointed with.

Probably not what you're looking for, but I'd say one that you can drop! My DH was smart enough to get a camera with a metal, not plastic case, and its good because I dropped it a bunch!
