The best crocs for around the parks?

I know lots of people say to wear them to the parks but they don't look like they have enough support to me. They are just plastic shoes. I think my feet would be killing me after a couple hours!

I think it depends on your feet, my DD loves her Crocs, and wore them everyday for touring. My feet are too narrow for them, and they are not comfortable.

I think they are goofy looking, but I'd wear them if they were comfy...So many times my sneakers have gotten soaked with the summer rains, or of course on Kali.

Lots of people had them on during our trip last week. :sunny:

The Cayman style fits me best. This style is sized in single increments (5,6,7,8,9,etc). The Beach style is sized in double increments (7-8,9-10). The beach ones were just too big or too little but the Caymans fit just right. The Caymans are a little harder to find than the Beach ones. Around here the Beach ones are sold at Hallmark Stores, Academy Sports & Dick's. The Beach ones can be found at Parisian and smaller independent shoe stores.

I was skeptical of exactly how comfortable and supportive they would be so I wore my tennis shoes the first day of our trip...by mid-afternoon I had a HUGE blister on my toe. The next 7 days I wore my Crocs and not one more blister appeared!! I'm a beliver and between DD & we now have 4 pairs with plans for more.

For me, I like my Caymans. They are comfortable. I never had trouble with my feet while wearing them. I'm not a person who is into what's fashionable. I wear what's comfortable. Crocs, to me, are comfortable. To each his own, I guess.

I'll be interested in what other people say.

I have had mine for 2 weeks now and can not take them off. They are as comfy as they are goofy looking! I don't know which I have, they are pink with the holes in them, the strap that goes behind your foot or can be moved up, I got them on shoebuy.com and I will be getting another pair in a more neutral color.

I plan to have them be my main shoe on our upcoming trip.

I love my Crocs for around the town but a full day in them at AK left me with blisters on the sides of my heels. Should have carried my mole skin that day and everything would have been fine!

AllNamesTaken,
You should scope out Crocs website sometime because even though I know they just look like plastic shoes they are SO much more than that. If you go to the testimonials page on their site you will see blurb after blurb from health care workers, people with feet problems, people with rheumatoid arthritis who are so much more comfortable now in Crocs. My boss is my age (33) and has RA....the Crocs have helped her SO much. On days when I wear dress shoes to work (even sensible ones), my feet would hurt at the end of the day. When I wear Crocs, that doesn't happen. They conform to your feet and really give your feet great support. There are TONS of staff at the hospital where I work who wear them - they are great for anyone on their feet all day.

While it doesn't look like they have support, they really DO have a lot of support and little "bumps" to help w/ circulation. And there is a whole Orthopedic line of Crocs that are prescribed just by orthopods which started as a result of the success of the regular Crocs.

As far as the question of what STYLE is most comfortable, hmmmm.
I have the Niles - the "sandal" style. I like them, but they do rub in places and I don't think I'd wear them for a long walking distance
I have the flip flops - right now, this is my FAVORITE style - they are extremely comfy (and I normally don't like flip flops because of the lack of support) - that being said, I might be scared to wear them at WDW all day but I bet they would be fine and I will probably take them when we go Feb 07
The Beach style is what I started with and I wore them to the parks EVERY SINGLE day. The one day I wore a different shoe, my feet were killing me. I never, ever had a blister. I don't have Cayman's but I bet those would be the same effect, since they look similar but are closer in fit.

Next stop - Mary Janes!!! I can't wait to get my hands on these, they are so cute!

My whole family wore crocs for the very first time for our 8 day trip last week. We brought other shoes (sandals, sneakers) that never made it out of the suitcase. Crocs are the most comfortable shoes, not 1 blister, feet never felt tired, and perfect for disney when it rains or if your feet get wet on a ride. As long as they are the right size I can't see how they could cause a blister.

We went this August and while I love my Beach style crocs in the winter with socks, I couldn't wear them in the summer. So, I bought a pair of the Athen flip flops. :love::love:

I brought my regular gym shoes, but never wore them once in the 5 days were there there. My feet didn't hurt and they felt pretty good at the end of the day.

It may be a bit chilly in November for flip flops, but if I were going at that time, I'd take them in hopes that the weather was mild enough for me to wear them. And, they dry within minutes of getting wet on any of the water rides like Kali River & Splash Mountain. :thumbsup2

AND have you heard that Crocs is coming out with a Disney line of Crocs this fall, just in time for holiday shopping. Whoopee!
