The "Behind-the-Stores" Trick

I've searched and searched but can't seem to come up with a phrase that will get me ANY results for this trick. Do you know the one I speak of? It's the trick where you go into a store, then go out the back and walk along the backside of the stores in order to be closer to rope drop. Can someone please remind me which is the store we're supposed to enter, and where in the line of stores do we come out? Thank you!

You don't actually go "behind the stores". You actually go "through the stores". I've done it. On Main Street they sometimes hold the rope at the end of the street (right before the hub that branches out into the lands). If you go on the right side of Main Street (facing the castle), all of the stores are connected to each other starting after the little sidestreet with the lockers. The stores are connected all the way to the end of Main Street, so you will be at the front of the rope. When I was there, there was about 5 other people who were sitting in the store waiting with me for the rope to drop. You aren't allowed to exit the store until the rope is officially dropped.

This trick is also very helpful to bypass parade or fireworks crowds. I do it all the time.

I would not call it a trick, just sometimes easier to move around the mainstreet crowds this way. Not quite sure why everyone rushes after rope drop, a few minutes really makes no difference. You may be the first on one ride and the next one you go to you still have to stand in line.

:ssst: This is something we do all of the time to get up close to the rope drop, but SHHHHHH....not too many people seem to know about it.

They do now! Don't you hate when that happens? ;) I remember when I could easily find a spot to watch F! from a certain restaurant that ends with belle, and now it's always packed even hours ahead of time and they just sit there for hours taking up space while waiting for F!. I used to be able to walk up 30 minutes beforehand and find a seat no problem. :(

Maybe I should stop posting on this thread and bumping it up?? :rotfl:
