I can't think of a more deserving person.

Oh wow...this was truly a treat to read. I can't wait to see Caroline when she gets back! Debbie, you are a wonderful person to do this. Congratulations on your well-deserved Scoop pin.

Wow guys...this was really special. Thanks for showing all of us what generosity and caring is really all about.

Debbie, CONGRATULATIONS on your Scoop pin !! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Thank you for sharing stories from your vacation. Compliments about the students' behavior in the food court is quite a testament to Caroline! Continue to have fun!!

CONGRATULATIONS DEBBIE!!! You deserved it!

This was one of the best stories I've read here in a while.

Debbie,
Congratulations to you on your Scoop pin. I know you deserve it for helping making these children on their way to such a love of Disney.
I heard from Caroline today and she is gushing about how excited she was to meet you finally.
She also had to throw in the fact that she was at Typhoon Lagoon and it was 86 degrees. I didn't have the heart to tell her how she is missing the snow. Why ruin a good vacation, we will keep the snow a secret until she gets home.
I can't wait to see her next week and hope she will have pictures of the GREAT MEETING! It sounds like you really made her day Deb. A big surprise that she was and still is excited about. Peggie

I heard from Nat today and he and Sandy never made it out of Florida because of the weather. They are coming home tomorrow. When I talked to him he was heading over to watch OFF Kilter with Debbie at Epcot.

Congratualtions Debbie on your Scoop pin. Couldn't have happened to a nicer person.

All I have to say is

POOH on all of you!!!!!!! The tears streaming my face right now could fill one of those refillable mugs!!!!!!!

This has to be the most wonderful example of the beauty that comes with being a Disney Pin collector/trader!

All of you who made this happen....JUST AWESOME!!!!!!!

Thank you for sharing with us!

It was water park day... and a good thing. It is pretty warm down here. I did not head over there with them as my AP does not get me in there. So we had breakfast together before they headed out.

From what I understand it was a chalenging day to have that many kids at Typhoon Lagoon LOL

I went to the outlet mall and then to Epcot. Walked a bit and went to the first Off Kilter show of the day. Now my plan is to just hang out at the stage and not do much of anything. It is just a bit too warm to be walking around. I decided after that first show to head over to France and see the movie as that is inside and air conditioned! Still had 15 minutes to wait till the show. So I went in where it was cool. At 5 minutes to go the cell phone goes off. I am thinking..."Gee what timing" and it is Nat. He proceeds to tell me that they are stuck at the airport and could I come and pick him up. At this point, knowing that he HAD to get home for work of Friday, I did not believe him. I really thought he was kidding. So I made him give the phone to Sandy, because I would believe her. And YEP, they were spending another day in WDW due to weather in New Hampshire.

Laughing all the way, I walked to my car and headed out to the airport to pick them up. We think they are getting a reputation for doing this. Later when we went to pin trade, NO ONE was surprised that he had stayed LOL!

Ok, now back to the kids. I HAD to be back for the 7 p.m show of Off Kilter. I had arranged for them to play one of their songs for the kids. They don't play the Off Kilter rap all that often, but they would do it tonight. So we waited and waited for them to arrive. I was getting worried. Then at 7:15 just as the rap is starting, they arrived!!! The kids just loved it, well some were too cool to show it, but they did. It was alot of fun to see the looks on their faces when they played. Afterwards, we gathered up all of them and had a picture with 3 of the guys. (Two had to leave right away after the show). It really made my day to have them enjoy a show with me.

They all headed off to get some dinner, and I headed over to pin trading with Nat and Steve (zx dad) at All Star Sports.

Today is the last day with the kids and hope to report later.

Debbie

I knew that I should have taken time to read this thread yesterday. Congrats Debbie on getting the Scoop pin. I have to agree with everyone here that Debbie is a very giving and caring person. She has gone out of her way for me several times. I know that I can count on her in a pinch. I am blessed for knowing her and very thankful that the DIS boards gave us the opportunity to meet and become friends.

I cannot wait to hear all about your trip when your return. Prayers for safe travel home.

Wow how exciting for you!!! I know how much you were looking forward to this surprise and how hard you worked for the kids. I cant wait to hear all about it next week and to see your shiny new Scoop PIN!!!!! Way to Go Girl!!!

Cindy

I wish everyone could have seen the expressions on all the kids faces as each found a different thing at a different time. To all of you who planed this and put in all the hard work I don't think there are enough words to say how great a thing you did. I can only say thank you for letting me share a little in the magic.

I think there may be a few new Off Kilter Fans as well....

Well it is all done.....

The last day was quite a whirlwind of activity.

The kids were heading over to Animal Kingdom today. They had been asking me about it all week.

I would be meeting them over there after I have taken Nat and Sandy back to the airport..... (I double checked with them BEFORE we made the trek just to be sure they were not going to stay another night LOL!!)

I met up with them at the Festival of the Lion King. One of my favorite shows. This has to be one of the most labor intensive of all of the live shows at WDW. They all loved it! Well except for the ones that had sunburn from the day before at Typhoon Lagoon. :)

We headed over to It's Tough to be a bug. Now that was funny. I love seeing that show with new people. I told them all that they had to sit back in the seat because there were things that will walk by them :D :p We went to lunch as they had covered alot of the park in the morning. And that was evidenced by how soaking wet they were from Kali River Rapids.

Next up for the final night was going to be Fantasmic at MGM. They went back to their rooms while I made a final trek through Epcot... (gotta get my fix to last me a while). Then later met them at the show.

Fantasmic was a great ending to a wonderful week. The look on their faces was great. They pointed out all of the characters. As much as they try to be grown up they are still kids... and a great bunch of them at that.

Then we had to say our goodbyes. This was tough. Every single one of these kids touched me. It was hard to say goodbye. I just know that the Disney magic will stay with these kids and they will remember this for a long time to come.

Thank you to sooooo many people that made this possible. Far too many to name. But a Big thank you to Leslie. She helped raise this money and helped me keep my secret. And to Caroline. THANK YOU for having making this opportunity available. You are a saint. You and all of the other teacher that joined you.... Irene, Marcia and Al... (gotta love our new Star Al) You are the ones that are shaping our future with these young people, and you are doing a heck of a job.

I will post some pictures later. Thanks for all of the kind words that you all of posted. They really mean alot to me.

Debbie
