The beach

I have been designated trip planner for our trip in early December. A good part of our group wants to go to the beach for a day. They are insistent on going to the Atlantic side (they've already done the Pacific). I have a couple of questions for those of you in the know.

Will the weather be nice enough for us to enjoy anything at the beach at all?

I've heard it's warmer on the gulf side? True? Warmer enough that I can talk the rest of the group into going there?

It depends where you are coming from if it will be warm enough for you. December can be warm or cold.

I don't think it will be much warmer on the gulf side.
