We will be staying at the Beach Club.
I was wondering if we would be within walking distance to the Boardwalk ?

Can anyone tell me how far this would be and if we can walk. Or would we have to take some sort of transporation to get there?

Thanks so much.
Michelle

It is very close, perhaps a 7 minute walk.

Yes you are definitely within walking distance to the Boardwalk. I'd estimate it will take you about 5-10 minutes from the lake side lobby entrance of the BC to the lobby entrance of the Boardwalk. IMHO, it's about the same distance to the Boardwalk from the BC as it is from the BC to the IG entrance of EPCOT.

You will be able to see the Boardwalk from your room if you have a view of the lake. The Boardwalk Villas/Boardwalk Inn and the Boardwalk area itself are all just across the lake from the BC/YC.

There is a very nice path around the lake - it's set up for pedestrians (but you may notice a surrey bicycle or two). The Swan and Dolphin Hotels are also on the lake. If you stand on the dock between the BC/YC and look across the lake at the BW, the Swan/Dolphin Hotels will be on your right and the IG entrance to EPCOT on your left.

This is my favorite area in WDW and IMHO, the best location to stay if you love EPCOT and MGM. Have a wonderful stay!

You can also take the boat. There is a boat that goes to EPCOT & MGM that also goes between the BW and the YC/BC. You just have to be sure to get on the correct boat if you want to go directly to the BW. Our kids like riding the boat sometimes one way and walking the other.

hi: the entire loop around the lake is only 8/10 of a mile. you would only be walking less than 1/2 mile each way. it's a great way to work off some of those calories we manage to take in.

And just one more comment. Depending on where your room is at BC, you can be 2 minute walk away or up to 10 minutes. The very southern part of BC is actually at the crossroad where the Boardwalk begins.

There was a mention about bike/surrey rental earlier. Just a word of warning......you'll encounter 2 hills as you circle the BW, YC/BC area.....and you need a good start to get up without stopping. Not an easy feat after dining at the Cape May Buffet!!!
