The Banana Splits

One bannana, two bannana, three bannana, four....
Tra la la, la la la la, tra la la, la la la la....

I believe it was on in the late 60's and I was born in '71. I loved watching the repeats of it on tv as well as H.R Puffenstuff!

In Alaska we had a channel called Boomarange. I LOVED that channel. All the old cartoons from the 50's to the late 80's. I would have it on 24/7 (OK not that bad but I really liked the shows on that channel). Down here they only get it in Spanish. Ticks me off to no end. For whatever reason they will not run it in English here :(

They had the Banana Splits on that channel :D

I wonder if it is online somewhere in English.

How about the Bugaloos? That was around the same era. Loved that Martha Raye!! :thumbsup2

Sadly, one of the few memorable shows from my childhood not on DVD. Yet (crosses fingers).

That's interesting. Here in Mexico City, our cable company carries Boomerang, and it can be switched to Enlish or Spanish. But, they only show old cartoons half the time, the other half they show a lot of strange shows (kind of like soap opera things). My kids (and I) watch a lot of Boomerang at night when they show the great old cartoons. Unfortunately they have never shown the Banana Splits on it.

I'm surprised at that. We have a satellite dish and get both Boomerang and Cartoon Network. However, Boomerang hasn't shown the old cartoons from the 60's-80's like they used to. I sure miss them.

You sure about that? I thought I caught the tale-end of it in the 6 am hour on the weekend one day.

5:30 am Banana Splits Tooly's Treasure Hunt

Well if it's on at 6 A.M. then it might as well not be on at all for me.:rotfl:
Actually, I'll have to check my local listing here. Unfortunately what we have here is often different than what they show in the states.
I'll check and get back to you.

Thank you!!!! I was going to mention that but couldn't remember the show title. I coudn't get the "Buggles" (the band) out of my head.

Ok, how 'bout Kroft Superstars?

I pulled that off of the website. :D Maybe it gave me a line up for AZ  which of course is not in english.

Nope, no Banana Splits for us. I just checked our local listings. Too many local soap operary shows instead.

What a great old show! I loved the room they could slide into. Danger Island was my fave.
